My sister and I stayed in the Fannie Williams room and we had a really wonderful and at times scary experience. This house is over 200 years old and the shape this house is in is not dirty, but authentic. I found it to be as clean as I would suspect an old mansion to be. Being in the courtyard... More

This was our second trip to the myrtles. The first time we stayed there we stayed in the Bradford suite and it was ok. We went only for the thrill of it being "haunted". It was really unclean and run down but we made the best of it. Our second trip back we stayed at upstairs in the leake room.... More

We stayed at the Myrtles Plantation, in the caretakers cottage. Our stay was only one night, but we did have a good stay. We ate brunch at the Carriage house, which was a great start to our stay. The fried green tomato dish was especially delicious! We enjoyed the historic tour and then found the atmosphere of the plantation at... More

My wife and I stayed one night (April 19, 2012)at the Myrtles Plantation and found it to be a profound disappointment. When we arrived we found that the stairs were too sttep for my wife to climb and the office manager quickly accomodated our need and moved us to a ground floor room. We were encouraged by the office manager's... More

Well i stayed here a few years back we went 2 days after Christmas. It was me along with 3 others. We were the only ones there this particular night. I cant remember the exact name of the rooms. But there were up the stairs and the 2 rooms on the left. They join into one another and we had... More

Mingling with other travelers whether swapping ghost stories or life tales is part of what makes the Myrtles fun. Having no TV in the room, drew people to the charming courtyard outside - sitting or walking, talking or taking pictures. Even after dark, while frogs serenade you and black cats laze in the shadows, people still mingle. After a delicious... More

My husband and I stayed a night at the Myrtles for our 30th wedding anniversary(April 9th 2012).We stayed in the General Bradford Suite and was the only one to have access to this part of the house. Don't be shocked because they do not have any tvs in the rooms. This is a very good thing because you can spend more... More

I will start off by saying that I have wanted to stay at The Myrtles as long as I can remember. When I finally got the chance, I was ecstatic! I would finally get a chance to stay at a, not only beautiful home, but a piece of southern history. I am not one of the many ppl around that... More

We stayed at Myrtles last weekend and had a great time. Our room was the "caretaker's cottage" and were happy for the seclusion from the rest of the grounds. This room was the infamous "slave shack" in the tv show Ghosthunters and apparently sits on the same sight as the old slave quarters though we didn't have any bumps in... More
