I was getting ready to book our annual trip to the Penobscot Bay Inn with my family when I realized that it is closed. We visited the last 3 summers, had a wonderful experience and made many great memories there. We wish the owner, Val and family and staff the best of luck for the future. More

We had a lovely room on the second floor. The restaurant attached made dinner an easy event. The restaurant provides the complimentary breakfast. The grounds and building, which are on the outskirts of Belfast look out at the Bay. Belfast is a nice village to stroll. More

We booked a room based on web site's picture and availability. All look well until we arrived. We were told that our room was reassigned from a nice inn style room to the motel style room in the back. The room even came with an obstruction (i.e. post) in the middle of the room. Plastic lawn chair for furniture!? We... More

This was not a B & B as advertised. We were put in "motel rooms" with plastic resin chairs after booking "inn rooms." We were told upon arrival that the "inn" was closed. Discoverd no breakfast to be served at 9:30 the night of our stay. The website states "county breakfast." Must mean another country!!! Must say the morning desk... More

It was my first experience with a B &B and it was perfect. Private rooms and baths just like a hotel which was great since that is something I was concerned about with the B & B concept. The room was very nice and the bathroom had been updated. Breakfast was very good in a lovely dining room and the... More

It was a dark night. And raining hard. There was plenty of room so we pulled in next to a guest parked at a sign reading FOR GUESTS ONLY. Next morning the manager told us we should not be parked there -- only one car allowed. I asked why the sign . . . was told NO PARKING signs looked... More

Reading some of the other reviews the biggest issue seemed to be quite inflexible. Admittedly we had not read some of the fine print i.e. check-in time. But the window of three hours seems quite limited as we like to stop off at places on the way to our chosn desitnation and not feel like we have to rush to... More

We had two rooms; 7A on the front downstairs and 14 on the back downstairs, both in the newer building that does not have the restaurant in it. I didn't think the road noise was an issue at all. I can only imagine that the people complaining about road noise must be incredibly light sleepers. We were there on Monday... More

This B&B located in Belfast, Maine is a real bargain. Rooms range from $64 to $119. We took the $79 room as it was one of the only ones available. King size bed, real comfy, and a friendly staff. Quiet setting with a partial view of the bay. The attached restaurant was a super value with dinner for 2 at $30... More

My husband and I stayed for one night - owner was very friendly. Rooms were small - just fine for the both of us, clean, no complaints. We were a bit early and waited out back for our room to be ready - the owner personally came to get us once everything was all set. Breakfast the next morning was... More
