This review is long overdue. I stayed here last year with two friends on a girl's weekend. We booked the rose hip suite which was located across the street from the main inn on a quiet street. I was first concerned about that but no need in the end. The room was great because it had a king bed plus... More

My wife and I spent 8 nights touring Maine and stayed in 4 different B&B's. While the Lord Camden was nice it was not our favorite for several reasons. The inn is known for their gourmet chef/owner and i must admit that we did not partake in the dinners at the inn. Our primary reason for passing on dinner is... More

Had a wonderful time at the Hartstone Inn. Our room was small , but beautifully decorated and immaculate. Food absolutely wonderful with a European feel. Double bed, shower, no tub. More

Stayed in the Sunflower suite in a remodeled Victorian in a neighborhood near the B&B. They refer to it as the "Hideaway. The Sunflower Suite is roomy, comfy, quiet with a separate bedroom, sitting room with large fireplace, jacuzzi bath, walk-in granite shower and separate bathroom with his & hers basins. Everything was as we hoped. The food is beautifully... More

Wow...booked the room from an on-line search. Looked great. Inn is owned by a 5 star chef. Food at night and in the morning was excellent. I booked the "Loft" and was shocked to find the bed was shot. They had taken a peice of foam and placed it on top of a shot mattress. What were they thinking? Next... More

Another reviewer wrote about the cramped space at the Hartstone. We always anticipate a "common room" or a "public room" to relax and meet other travelers in the evening. Hartstone has a sitting room from Grandma's attic - it is small, cramped and full of Grandma's furniture. The couches are small, hard, uncomfortable (we are average-sized people); window seat ditto.... More

Great facility, great staff and great food. The meals are prepared with much thought so that the guest will sit, admire with curiosity and then most likely ask a few questions about the Meal. The breakfast was good but the dinners and deserts were off the hook delicious. Can't wait to go back. More

The Inn is impeccably clean and exudes a warmth and charm that is delightful! Our room was nicely decorated and had a super comfortable bed. Afternoon tea is offered,- certainly a rare amenity these days. They also provide an early evening cocktail hour (featuring specialty cocktails and tapas) for guests in a very comfortable Victorian style lounge. This was especially... More

All of the Staff including the Owners are hands on, all over every detail, and accommodating to every little request. They serve meals that are TOP-Notch and eagerly and happily accommodated my wife's many dietary needs without issue. We stayed in the Florence Room right between the Kitchen and Gathering room off of the Front Entrance which is also facing... More

We only spent a couple of nights but NEXT time, I hope to stay longer. The room was great, from the chilled champagne and chocolates to the huge comfy bed, gas fireplace, comfortable sitting area, jacuzzi tub and the FOOD! The multi-course dinner was to die for and the breakfast was spectacular as well. Everyone was friendly and our stay... More
