My wife and I stayed at the Kilby House for a week. This was one of the best weeks of my life thanks to our gracious host Greg who is the self proclaimed caretaker of the Kilby house. When we made our reservation Greg recommended we bring our passports, we opted not to and we still had an incredible time!... More

My wife and I stayed at the Kilby House in late August 2012, on the return leg of our road trip through Maine, New Brunswick, and Nova Scotia. We only stayed there one night, but I wish we could have stayed longer. It was our first 'real' B&B experience, and we could not have asked for a better host, a... More

I loved my stay at Kilby House Inn, which is tucked in a corner of coastal Maine just below Calais. Even getting there was wonderful. Greg shared his favorite scenic roads to take to Eastport for my motorcycle trip up there. And he made a dinner reservation for me at a nearby bistro, so I would be able to enjoy... More

The Kilby House Inn was a quaint old house but that did not mean that the room and bathroom were not comfortable. The breakfast was large and very, very good. Greg gave us excellent advice on dinner options.

I stayed for one night in late August 2012 and I can very highly recommend the property. The rooms are very reasonably priced and Greg serves an exquisite breakfast. The home is very tastefully furnished with comfortable and interesting antiques and artwork. It's located a block or two from the main part of town, so it's an easy walk, but... More

We had a wonderful stay at the Kilby House! Our room was lovely, very clean with beautiful furniture. The breakfasts were absolutely delicious and Greg was so welcoming! We felt right at home and learned a lot about Eastport and the surrounding area through him. He has a very warm, engaging personality and is very knowledgeable about the area. We will... More

This was our first stay at Kilby House and we loved being in a historic Eastport home that was true to its period and not overgussied up like some B&Bs that can be downright cloying and cute. Our room was comfortable, the updated bathroom was tastefully done, no phoney smelling air fresheners, the bane of anyone with allergies. There was... More

Great stay, clean as a whistle, neat as a pin, and decorated with great attention to detail. Breakfast is well prepared and we enjoyed speaking with the other guests and Greg, the innkeeper. Eastport is extremely interesting and, based on the downtown architecture, was obviously at one time a town of great prosperity and signficance. The herring and sardine fishing... More

As other folks say...Greg is great. If you want a nice clean affordable place to bunk, you cant go wrong. If you want the Ritz...go to Boston. The only dissapointment of my Trip was the State of Maine and City of Eastports utter dissrespect for the preservation of heritage homes.....gorgeous 200 year old homes rotting away and housing pigeons. Ruined... More

We found Greg's home to be filled with the most pleasant decor. He welcomed us and gave us invaluable insight into our trip North. He suggested the best places to eat and how best to enjoy our trip up the Coast to Canada. His gourmet breakfast was the best on the trip by far. Eastport was a pleasant clean friendly... More
