My visit to Freeport, Maine was made even better because of the hospitality I found at the White Cedar Inn. I had a clean, comfortable room, great breakfasts, and was right on Main Street just a few blocks from shops and restaurants. I stayed in Captain Dan's room, and was interested in reading the history of the house and the...

We stayed here back in July '08 so am a little late writing this review. Drove into Freeport with no reservations and picked up a leaflet from the Tourist Info board. What a gem. Our hosts were amazing and hopefully the pins we placed on the map of visitors are still there. What's prompted me to write this now is...

The best B&B we have ever stayed in Maine, bar none! Have been repeat visitors for many years, now. Stay there before AND after our annual Windjammer Cruise out of Rockland. Our hosts Rick & Monica are fabulous hosts. Full of local information. The rooms are immaculate and very comfortable. Nice group sitting area and adjacent brekfast "porch." Easy walk...

Over the past ten years or so, we have stayed at several B&Bs in Freeport and never really found one where we felt right at home, and that had everything we look for in a lodging. I'm happy to say that the White Cedar Inn is exactly what we want - we've stayed there twice now and won't go anywhere...

Husband and I drove up to Freeport on a beautiful April day with luggage but no reservations anywhere. We tried one B&B on the same street that had a "vacancy" sign, but were ignored by the staff. Drove another block or two and happily discovered the White Cedar. The innkeeper was friendly and inviting. She had several rooms availalble and...

We stayed for two nights while seeing the Freeport area. This is a lovely inn, the innkeepers are helpful and friendly without being intrusive, and made excellent recommendations for restaurants (Azure Cafe - yummy) and places to see. The business aspects were handled very professionally (email confirmations, etc.) The rooms are immaculate and beautifully decorated, but not fussy - this...

My college girlfriends and I chose Freeport, ME as the first destination for our annual girls' getaways three years ago (this says October 10, but that was the furthest back I could go for choices -- it was actually October of 2009). Based on the website, we chose the White Cedar Inn as our place to stay. It was an...

I enjoyed my stay - the innkeepers were helpful, with info about shopping and restaurants, and I could walk to all of them. The room was clean, the bed really comfortable, and breakfast was delightful. I would go back and take my husband.
