Stayed last night and we had a lovely stay. The landlady is really nice and friendly as is her hubby the chef and they both and made us feel very welcome. Had lunch here twice recently and found it to be excellent. Food quality good, service excellent and cheerful staff behind bar. Prices are sensible too. Ashley is a very quiet village so dont expect any exciting night life if you decide to stay at the George

Clean, newly decorated rooms. Quiet location, beautiful village, attentive but relaxed service, good value and great food. Ticks all the boxes. Deserves to be very successful. We need to visit the area fairly regularly, and we'll certainly be back.
