My two sisters and I shared a room for a long weekend. The inn was very comfortable and clean. Breakfast consists of fresh fruit, yogurt, granola, and a fresh baked pastry each morning. Very small and intimate. Each room has their own bathroom, but it is not in the room. Have to walk down the hallway which did not bother... More

Cozy character house b n b with delicious homemade breakfast, just 2 blocks from downtown - with opportunity for meeting fellow travelers in welcoming common areas but conducive to privacy. We were fans of the overall decor, tea options, bathrobes, slippers, and radios.

My wife and I spent a night at the only green-certified B&B in Portland and could not have been happier. With Congress becoming more popular, and tons of great restaurants and music venues, you really can't beat the Wild Iris Inn's location on State Street. Initial reservations about the traffic on State were unfounded, as the guest rooms are tucked... More

Portland is one of my favorite town. Great restaurants, wonderful brew pubs, and a good walking city. We loved that we parked our car at the Inn and it was a short walk to downtown. The Inn is Ultra clean and very nicely furnished. We took a small room in the back of the house to avoid any city noise.... More

Stayed one night driving through to NYC. The house is very clean with comfortable beds. We had the room at the front if the house because it has a king size bed. Unfortunately, had difficulty sleeping because of traffic noise. Would recommend a smaller room towards back of house. The breakfast was help yourself with a good selection. The fresh... More

It's a very nice place to stay - my second time staying there. Very comfortable beds, nice rooms, lovely house overall. The owner is very pleasant too. Location is on a hill, so it is a little bit of a trek to the top, but you are in a great location - smack in the middle of the arts district.... More

We were in Portland for a very short visit to see family and friends, so looked for a place within walking distance of Congress and Free Street areas. I'm so glad we found Wild Iris Inn! Diane was friendly and professional. Our room (3rd floor) was large and nicely appointed. Will definitely recommend to others!

We and our friends enjoyed our stay. The rooms are charming and pretty. Parking was a little inconvenient when we had to move our car to let others out. Also, we would have liked to chat quietly in the common area after coming back from the bar, but we disturbed the people in the room that opened off that area,... More

LA friends chosing a place to reconnect.. This was an amazing and relaxing place! I absolutely loved this B&B and will be back when I visit Portland again. Diane was beyond friendly and hospitable feeling like we were home. Even though it was quite cold in Portland this past weekend my friend and I had an amazing trip and it... More

I am a former resident of Portland and always had friends to stay with when I come back to visit. I decided to give a B&B in town a try. Wild Iris is a great location for walking to any number of sites and scenes in town(10 min. to old port). The proprietor is a lovely woman with a hint... More
