4 of 5 stars Reviewed 22 May 2012 NEW

I recently spent one night here. The location is excellent, just about a 10-minute safe walk from the Old Port and even closer to the art museums and Civic Center. Our room was clean and large enough, though not as large as some rooms I've been in, with two double beds. The bathroom was clean and also large enough, though... More

I stay here once or twice a year when we visit Portland over a long weekend. The location is great, within walking distance of the Old Port, so you have access to tons of great restaurants without having to drive anywhere. The rooms aren't the Ritz, but there are clean and well kept. The staff here seem to do pretty... More

I changed hotel the week before our trip to Portland from the Residence Inn to the Holiday Inn b/c it was cheaper and free parking. The hotel was easy to get to. Check-in was a breeze. We received a welcome bag for being a Priority Member, and a free drink ticket & a 1/2 price drink ticket to the bar.... More

this hotel was a great stay! we stayed five nights for vacation and we were so pleasantly surprised by the stay! Standard king room was a comfortable size and the bed was very comfortable. The walk into town is super convenient. More

On the top floor ( half way through our stay) with view of the water, love it. Comfy king bed, large room with frig and microwave. Bathroom is one unit ( not split with vanity/sink outside of tub and toilet) . Wish vanity was a bit more spacious, Keurig coffeemaker takes up some space. Decor is in tans with blue... More

Many thanks to the guest who took the time to review us while still on property. It is rewarding to know we have pleased our customers. All of our rooms are newly renovated, and our city views are as remarkable as our bay views! We hope you return. More

We were disappointed from the start with the room -- it didn't look like it had on the video on their website. We were in an Executive King and it looked like one big spacious room on the website. What we got was an L shaped room that didn't feel spacious. Also, honestly, I thought it wasn't that attractive. I... More

We apologize that the guest did not like our decor. All of our guest rooms are newly renovated, with new furniture, 42 inch flat screeen TVs, granite baths and furniture encased microwaves and refrigerators. It is unusual when we hear it was not to a guest's liking. And thanks for the comments about our staff. They are always pleased to... More

I can't say enough about this place. The rooms are clean and up to date. Two blocks from the water but what makes this hotel great is the excellent staff. They are professional and Friendly. More

5 minute walk to anywhere downtown, whihc is really what you want. Hotel is a bit long in the tooth, but nothing too bad. Hotel is not on the water, but hihg enough to overlook other buildings to the harbor. Requested a harbor view, as a platinum got it and a mini-suite. View is good, not great, as you're overlooking... Well located in Portland, Maine. The hotel is next door to a very impressive Museum of Art and Children's Museum. Two blocks away is the Eastland Hotel with a roof-top bar with great vistas. The old waterfront area is loaded with boutiques, restaurants and historic flavor. Get down to Becky's Diner for a real treat. One additional touch at the... More

The staff is great, the location is excellent, and the rooms are clean. However, all of that was overshadowed by the uncomfortable mattresses and pillows and the paper-thin walls. Some may like a soft bed and lumpy pillows but I woke up with a sore back and neck every morning of my four night stay. And the walls - oh... More
