Hotels in the area can be expensive. We payed only $75 a night with a nice room overlooking the water. The room had a nice balcony. We had to share a bathroom with one other room. Just a few minutes drive to downtown Gloucester. Very friendly people working there. More

People who know the Williams Guest House keep coming back year after year. We were last there several years ago, and so happy to find it just as it was: a modest place - nothing fancy (no shampoos in little bottles), but very clean, comfortable beds, with spectacular views of the beach on one side and the wetland behind. Williams Guest House sits on a beautiful location right near Good Harbor Beach. We visited in October, so the beach was not the attraction, but the spot is excellent.
