This was one of the worst places ever! We asked for our money back and went somewhere else after I took the sheets down from the bed to find a blood stained mattress. From the water stained ceilings to the musty smell.....I wouldn't let my dog stay here! More

First impression of walking to your room is not a good one. The interior corridor looks very old and in need of restoration. I was pleasantly surprised when I entered the room. The room was remodeled and had newer curtains and furnishings. Room is fairly large with a queen bed plus 2 lounge chairs. The room looks clean with no... More

It's cheap. I wasn't expecting it to be the Ritz. I stayed here because they were dog friendly. The room was big. Everything is shabby....stains on carpet, etc. As a young professional I was ok with all of that. What was super annoying was the throng of drunken hillbillies that ran up and down the hall all night. If you... More

We booked this place as a last resort because we needed somewhere to stay the night on the way up north. I don't consider myself picky when staying in hotels, but I wish we would have sprung for somewhere else. The room itself appeared to be clean upon first glance, but there were large cobwebs in every corner, stains on... More

The room was large and just satisfactory; though superficially clean, there was a musty smell to it and cobwebs and dirt to be found. The bed sheets were old, thin and worn, and very rough – wear pyjamas! No fridge, no microwave and the air con was not working (though we were advised of this at check in and given... More

Really happy with the price $53 for one room-double beds. Very nice and polite staff. But really needs an update and cleaning! Smelled of an old nursing home and straight urine in the bathroom (very unsanitary). But I guess sometimes you get what you pay for, right? More

The rates were incredible so we decided to give it a try. I think they are in the middle of renovating. Our room was clean but had a musky odor. The toiled flushing mechanism was broken but we survived. This was our second disappointing stay in Gaylord. The other at Quality Inn. Maybe the standards are lower in Gaylord. More

When my husband pulled into the parking lot, I was skeptical. The outside looks rundown and the parking lot could use a good paving. The island in the middle of the parking lot had flowers that looked well-kept so I thought the place might have promise. We were happy to find that pets were allowed and our king-size room was... We came up to Gaylord to go to the Alpenfest, a small "fair-ish" festival. We were surprised at the low rate we got..$44 per night for seniors. Upon arrival I asked to see the room prior to checking in. I could tell this was an old property, formerly the Royal Crest motel. I'm not certain if this is up to... More

We stayed at the Royal Crest in Gaylord last week and found the room to be average and nice and clean. The owner was very friendly and helpful. However, the woman at the reception desk didn't even bother to look up and say hello. When we asked questions she gave us the feeling that we were intruding on her time.... More
