We stayed here one night and it is marvelous. We got there early so were able to see the other rooms. Plus all of the common rooms. Our room was huge with a balcony and quite quiet and comfortable. The breakfast was one of the best we have had. The staff was quite courteous and helpful. More

This part of the country is rich in copper mining history. The beaches and shores surrounding the peninsula are a rockhounds dream. A beautiful B+B in a beautiful area - Calumet and Laurium and side-by-side towns that are very quaint and cute. Some of the rooms at the Manor have A.C. units, but most don't. Upside: great location to access the keewanaw peninsula, neat architecture and interesting history. We really enjoyed our two nights at the Laurium Manor. Very impressive old building that retains a lot of the "flavor" from 100 years ago.
