Okaukuejo has one of the most excitingwaterholes in know. No matter which time of day, always lots to see. Large numbers of game, ellies, (black) rhinos and birds. During the night lions come along for a drink as well, though often are chased off by the rhionos and ellies. A true african gem. The area around the camp alos has... More

Stayed here for 2 nights in Mid March, in a Waterhole Chalet. Not much activity at the waterhole being at the end of the rainy season, but should pick up from April! Reception at the resort was efficient. Pay here for the park fees. Also register here for the evening meal at the restaurant. A cash deposit equivalent to 500... More

We rented a "premium Waterhole Chalets" (in Okaukuejo) and these chalets are fantastic. Two stories, from the balcony of the second floor, we could watch the animals. Black rhino's at night. Supurb. The whole place is actually very nice and the location perfect. The resataurant served a great breakfast and a good dinner. Just an advise, don't visit in the... More

We had rooms in the "premium Waterhole Chalets" and these rooms are great. Two stories with the waterhole full of animals outside the windows and the balcony. Great! The whole place is actually very nice and the location perfect. The resataurant served a great breakfast and a very good dinner. Unfortunately not everything was up to the standard. Eating outside... we arrived with low expectations and came away delighted. We had a lovely bungalow with good facilities, the water hole was well arranged and the breakfasts were excellent. We were there in low season and the place had a lovely relaxed feel but not sure what it would feel like in high season More

I booked a waterhole chalet directly with the property and took them a least a week to get back to me. Check in was slow, rude and felt they just didnt want to be there. The waterhole chalet recommended by many others was tiny. The bathroom was basic and aging. There was nothing luxurious about the room. It felt like... More

Okaukuejo was perhaps our greatest positive surprise given some of the whining about it that has been on this forum. No - do not expect the attention and pampering that you get at smaller lodgings. Do expect magical evenings at the waterhole, luxurious lodgings (at least at waterhole chalets - which are a must!) and perfectly efficient service. If you... More

This resort which has both hotel and camping facilities is extremely slick and caters for the large amount of people that are passing through the Etosha area. This high throughput has its downsides but the helpful and friendly staff certainly do their best to deal with these diverse groups and their many and varied expectations. Okaukuejo's forte is its floodlit... More

The campsite is located 20km from Andersson Gate at Etosha National Park. There is an old German Fort Tower to walk up with a great view from the top. We had an adequate site at a popular camp ground. The amenities were clean & there is a lovely pool & bar. The shop was well stocked. The floodlit waterhole was... More
