We had a family gathering at Badplaas last wekend, and the children became sick, before we left (vomiting and diaree) the rest of us had headaches and pain in our joints. It is defenitly due to the quality of the swimming pool's water!

We had to break the trip into the Blyde Canyon so we stopped in the mineral springs hotel since some locals we met on the Sani Pass told us it was a really nice place. We stayed at Badplaas for 4 days. We went just after the school holidays so the resort was nice and quiet and relaxed. Only disappointment was that a lot of the activities (paintball, zipline and Rinkhals) were closed because it was "off-season". We have had a very nice three night stay at this resort. Just be aware that you book a logcabin or come with your own camping gear, as the normal cottages are all being renovated.
