There's not too much choice in the way of accomodation in the charming little town of Florac. One hotel was literally stuck in the middle of e huge construction site when we visited, so Hôtel des Gorges du Tarn was the place to go. Arrived 7.30 pm, cold, wet and tired. (having telephoned during the afternoon to say we would be later than 6 pm, after which time, they emphasised three times when we made the booking, our booking would be invalid). The hotel is well run and the staff are friendly. The appearance from the outside is good and there is plenty of parking. The downstairs areas are very nice and have a quality feel about them. The food is good and the service is fine.The hotel is clean and tidy and there's no noise at night.
