My family has stayed at this hotel twice, while driving through France and each time we have had a wonderful time. The rooms are very comfortable and the outdoor swimming pool with spectacular views provides a welcome break from travelling. We had dinner on the terrace and the food was outstanding. Whilst the set menus provide good value, the hotel... More

We were staying in La Cave but our hotel restaurant was closed on a Monday night. Our hotel recommended the restaurant at this hotel and we were not disappointed. There were magnifcent views over the river and the service was excellent. We ate from the cheapest evening menu at 29 Ruros and this was excellent value and a magnificent meal.... More

An excellently furnished and equipped hotel overlooking, almost overhanging, the Dordogne river. The owners are very kind and helpful and the food magnificent. The rooms are well-furnished, comfortable and spacious. Dinner on the terrace is a 'must' if possible. More

This was the 4th hotel (which we stayed at for 2 nights) of our tandem cycle tour of the Dordogne. After cycling from Sarlat La Caneda 44 miles we arrived at La Terrasse, Meyronne. The hotel was very nice, but felt dated. The swimming pool was very disappointing. Our room which was at the top of a dingy dark staircase... More

We read the reviews for this hotel but we were disappointed. We booked a junior suite and it was priced like a four star hotel The rooms have not been painted in decades and stunk of stale cigarettes. The couch in the “suite” had cigarette burns, was old and worn. It always puzzles me why owners of establishments continue to... More

We stayed for two nights and really enjoyed it. The room was comfortable and clean, spacious and flamboyant, reflecting madame's enthusiasm. We live in France and really appreciated the dinners, carefully and imaginatively prepared and served with friendliness and professionalism. We ate on the terrace, in the dining room and had breakfast in the wonderful arched salle a manger. The... More

we stayed in this hotel for 4 nights whilst house hunting in the area. The room had great views and it was clean and comfortable. The food was very good and so was the wine. The owner and staff were extremely freindly and considerate. We felt very at ease and relaxed during our stay and we will certainly return. We... More

Stayed overnight in early August. We had a room with a view of the Dordogne river, which was what we had requested. I agree the loo is in a very cramped separate area which had no ventilation. Also, I would have liked a bath rather than a wobbly plastic shower, but that's just my personal preference. My only other gripe... More

From the bridge over the wide Dordogne you look up and see this grey, feudal-looking edifice and perhaps you think fleetingly of Elsinore. There is something rather grim about the exterior, though the Liebus's interior renovations have made it warm and inviting. Indeed, the two main public rooms are utterly delightful, especially the room in which breakfast is served. The... More

I stayed at this hotel as part of a cycling week, one of 6 hotels along the route and this one was pretty much the best. Rooms are housed in the converted chateau. Mine up some winding stairs of one of the turrets and the view was stunning across the Dordogne. Large room with an extra bed too. Flat screen... More
