I read another review about the front doors being locked and the hotel having a "bank tellers window" at the front door so I knew to expect this upon our late arrival. I stayed the night before I flew to Houston. The check in was fast and friendlly. My room was near the elevator, so my old tired bones didn't have to walk forever to find my room. Nothing fancy, just basic nice. Helpful staff, pool and (really) hot tub are clean. Breakfast (buffet, basic food) and 5:30 kickback (hot food, cold drinks) are included, making this a good "home base" for anything you want to do in the city or suburbs (wineries, Ulysses S. Grant farm, etc.) Breakfast is better than the next closest pancake place.

The staff is friendly and helpful. The daily breakfast and reception are excellent. The courtesy airport shuttle is very prompt and convenient.
