You know the area is beautiful, so why ruin it with a terrible night? This hotel claims to have air-conditioning controls in every room, well they just don't work and in the heat of summer you can roast like a chicken. You can open the windows to hear cars and trucks go by or have mosquitoes eat you up. Top... More

We were looking for a nice room and had a quick look at the rooms. That didn't look ok so we did not stay here. Since it was lunch time and we were hungrey we did decide to have a quick lunch. Big mistake! The menu is italian orriented, so basically pasta. The quality was very poor but the biggest... More

No doubt a good old house at one time but now creaking at the seams. Right on the road that's not the best but at least it had a good pool. The evening meal (39 euros) - the first option was cold meat to start, risotto of some sort and ice cream- no choices! What a joke....the chef even came... More

This bed & breakfast could have a lot of charm if it were to be completely re-done. We found this hotel in the selection of books of "Chambre d'Hôtes Secrètes", and from the pictures it looked great for what we were looking for. Upon arrival, my heart sank into my stomach. There were lawn chairs scattered all over the property,... More

Room too small with no adequate lighting or anywhere to put suitcase. No soundproofing at all between rooms. The welcome we received was aloof and unfriendly. We had the 40euro menu and we were expecting to have duck breast for plat du jour (main course), but the chef took the liberty of giving me and my husband 1/2 a duck... More

My wife and I first visited Moulin D'Aure in 2005 and much enjoyed our stay there. Everybody was very helpful and the restaurant and food was good albeit expensive. This time we visited with our 3 married daughters and their children to celebrate my wife's 70th birthday. We found we were at a totally different place from 2005. Whilst the... More

A pretty looking provencal hotel in a great location for Avignon and lovely St Remy. Very good pool which kept us all happy. Also a nice restaurant which served quite good food. Restaurant staff quite friendly although owners fairly aloof and not particularly friendly. Our rooms were quite small but there are larger ones available. My only negative was the... More

We booked a suite in the hotel after viewing its website which, alongside the fact it is a member of "Chateaux & Hotels de France", and is located near Avignon, seemed very promising. Unfortunately, it turned out to be a huge mistake: The hotel is situated in a slum, a very unpleasant village. It is dirty and poorly maintained. All... More

The staff at the hotel is friendly. However the manager and his family should better stay far away from this place. Don't expect any flexibility from the management. Our 3-year old daughter had to pay the full breakfast rate of 16 euro's while she only eats one slice of bread, drinks one glass of milk and 1 glass of orange... More

Pluses: Good food, lovely setting Negative: Overbearing owner, paper thin walls so every sigh from the next room heard, petty charging for boiling one's own eggs at breakfast, unacceptably uncomfortable beds for the cost of the room. More
