Sadly, we only stayed one night here. Mrs Currie's B&B is a lovely old house just off the main street of Richmond. It is beautifully furnished and has a garden which looked splendid in Autumn. We were made very welcome, served a great breakfast, and enjoyed nice touches like complimentary sherry/port. Lovely on a chilly evening. More

We stayed here our first night in Richmond and unfortunately they were booked out for our second night. It was a wonderful start to our visit, beautifully clean and tastefully decorated. The breakfast was excellent and there was lots of lovely touches like the complementary sherry. We will definately stay here again, it was a highlight. This B and B... More

This is a beautiful piece of 1800's building. It was originally a hotel and is still registered as a hotel. We had the rose room with its canopy bed and lovely little en suite. Whilst there is no TV in the lounge room in which to share with the other guests. The cricket was on so I was lucky that... More

We had the pleasure of staying at Mrs Curries house on the 15th and 16th February 2012 and had a fantastic time. Patrick was very helpful and gave us the history of the house and the breakfasts were very good and really set you up for the day. There is also a downstairs kitchen with a guests fridge and extensive... More

Having stayed at this B&B a long time ago I was pleased that it had changed so little, the welcome was warm and the service impeccable. The gardens are beautiful and it is a joy to be able to walk into the fabulous atmosphere of Richmond . My only comments would be that the bathroom was a bit cramped and... More

We stayed here just before Christmas and is was a great place to stay. Centrally located and nice, clean and cosy. We stayed in he room the couple complained about and had a great sleep in separate beds too! We ate at the pub and they had eftpos issues bu it all sorted itself out... Nice port and sherry in... This was a real find and easily our favourite place so far. We had 2 rooms downstairs in the oldest part of the house. Both rooms oozed character and were furnished beautifully andwere also incredibly comfortable. I wish we'd had more than 1 night here! We were invited to make ourselves home in the kitchen opposite where the breakfasts were... More

Stayed here 1 night.... but would like to have stayed more! Spent 10 days touring around Tasmania staying at most places for 1 night and this was definately the best place that we stayed. We were given a brief history of the house when we checked in and then we were personally shown to our room. Beautiful room, tastefully old... More

We had a thoroughly enjoyable one night stay in Richmond at Mrs Currie's House - a very historic house with a nicely appointed room (the Iris Room). Marilyn and Patrick are lovely hosts and Marilyn told us that the back section of the house is the oldest continuously-occupied rammed earth house in Australia. The gardens are beautifully manicured and a... More

I have just spent an amazing couple of days in Richmond staying at the fantastic Mrs Currie's House! The building is incredible with all the history and charm that you'd expect from a house built in the 1800s. The owners were so helpful and knowledgable about their guesthouse and the surrounding area, making my few days break even more memorable!... More
