The stay was fantastic. Not a single thing could have been better. Great staff, great food, great views. Will definitely recommend to friends and family and visit again. It was a lovely weekend getaway for my boyfriend and I. A short drive over from Bozeman and a stone's throw from Livingston.

The stretch between Livingston and the north gate of Yellowstone is very sparse on decent dining facilities. Our host at the near-by RV Park provided directions to the Lodge. This little gem was suggested to me by a local and what a terrific place. The cabins are clean, quiet and close enough to the North Entrance of Yellowstone National Park to get you into the Lamar Valley shortly after sunup without difficulty. I stayed for 4 nights and found the hospitality to be perfect. The large breakfast was a great way to start each day before long hikes. The dinners that the resturant serves were outstanding and would highly recommend stopping if only just to have dinner. YVL was a great relaxing place to stay and would highly recommned it.
