We stayed at the Fairweather Inn in Virginia City for a birthday celebration. The staff there is very helpful and friendly. It is an historic hotel so don't expect king size beds, tvs, showers or phones. In keeping with Virginia City's 100+ year old history, our room was simple, clean, and aside from a/c and electrical outlets, historically accurate. Our... More

Absolutely loved my stay here...so quaint, very clean...excellent service. The 2nd floor balcony is awesome to sit out on in the shade and watch the people go by. The rest of the town is right there to leisurely stroll around. Highly reccomend this inn. More

Of Virginia City, my husbands says "it's the most ramshackle theme park I've ever been to!" We spent one night at the Fairweather Hotel as we were driving around Montana. It's an old ghost town that has some properties with current businesses. The hotel is one of these. You definitely feel as though you've gone back in time given the furnishings... More

All of the current hotel was built in the 1940's. The bathroom has a tub but no shower. The walls are very thin and not insulated for sound at all; we could hear our neighbor snoring and could clearly hear them talking. Keep your expectations low and you will be happy; this is not a luxury hotel by any means.... More

We stayed here for the atmosphere and history. The Fairweather Inn dates from the 1860s and is decorated and furnished accordingly. The Inn has been well taken care of, is clean and charming, with large rooms and comfy quilts on the beds. The front desk staff is friendly, ready to answer questions and give directions, shared menus with us to... More

Lovely historic Inn. We rented the room with the washroom included but would not hesitate to rent a room with only access to public washrooms as they are very accessible. The room was very comfortable and not too hot even though there is no air conditioning. (It was also during a heat wave that we stayed here.) My teenage daughter... More

An excellent hotel in the centre of the restored town. Old furniture and no air conditioning but we had a bathroom. Very handy for all the attractions and for visiting Nevada City. More
