The oil boom in North Dakota is overflowing clear to Wolf Point. This hotel and it's annex a mile east are often full, even in the winter months. So, get your reservation early. We had a nice, clean, and warm room and the staff was friendly and helpful. They have rooms by the day, week, or month to accommodate the... More

On this stretch of the High Road, there are not many choices. The oil boom has blessed motels with usually 100% occupancy, so make an RSVP ahead. Do NOT expect to stop in at 5pm and get a room! 5 people were turned away during our check-in - thank goodness we had made reservations. The lobby offers basic breakfast items... More

I have stayed at the Homestead a few times in the last several years for business. The price is right but nothing fancy, rooms are outdated, but clean. Beds are so-so comfy, pillows could be better. Tv and Wi-Fi that seemed to work ok. Fridge & Microwave was nice to have. Room noise was somewhat bad, but then both nights... More

First night wasn't too bad, however there were some stains in the carpet and the tub did not drain fast so the water accumulated at your feet (eww). The second night we tried getting another room, the lady at the front (skinny blonde) was very rude, wanted either a $200.00 deposit or our credit card, took our credit card and... More

The so-called annex is a rundown hotel that they are in the process of renovating. Unfortunately the beginning stages lack what a lower end hotel would provide. It was a $45.00 a night hotel for $86.00. Would definitely never agree to being placed in the annex of this hotel ever! Trying to get out of the second night if at... More

I stayed in this hotel in June for a business trip. The photos posted by another traveler is pretty accurate about this hotel. It is a clean, no-frills establishment. But if you're traveling along the Montana high-line, that is probably all you need anyway. We were greeted by a very friendly clerk who had us laughing. She was very helpful... More

Friendly desk staff even gave us food recommendations. The Elks Club still serves a traditional steak house dinner complete with relish tray & free desert. We have stayed at The Drake in a Lakeside room & that is what we are used to in terms of quality but you must be realistic when traveling in this part of the high... More

Situated on Highway 2 the Homestead in is a three floor hotel with no elevator. Our room was comfortable but lacked storage space. Quite a few of the people staying there were construction workers who used this place as home so where they put their belongings is a mystery, must just live out of a suitcase. Having said that the... More

Fairly standard motel. All rooms are situated either up or down a half flight of stairs, with no elevators. Fair sized room, but no shelf space in the bathroom, and – hard to believe, but true – no rails to hang the towels on. The room was clean, although it was poorly lit. Bed and pillows were very comfortable. Free... More

I was in the area working for 5 weeks, the Inn was my home away from home. Although there was nothing fancy, my room was clean and cozy. All of the ladies at the front desk were super, and I approached them with some very random and sometimes silly questions. As a solo female traveler, I always felt safe. Overall... More
