Problem @ ck in.Incorrect room rate, $89/with online reservation, $109/at arrival, had confirmation number at check in, staff said that it wasn't a good number, charged credit cards for $109 at ck in.Staff said they would ck with Mgr & would let us know.No proactive communication by staff,at departure was told that $89 was correct. Where do I start? Pulled in to get a last minute room because of the snow storm today. Took forever for the front desk to get my room key and payment. First Room: smelled like methane. When I complained, front desk stated the sewer lines had been cleaned that day and the entire end of their building smelled like that.... More

Booked a room here on line for my traveling daughter. I was on the phone with her as she pulled into the parking lot. Her words were "Mom..I don't think I should stay here". The Howard Johnson Inn is in serious need of upgrades and basic maintenance. We were greated by falling siding on the columns at entrance of the "lobby", cracked sidewalks with holes (2nd floor outside stairwell). There was also a wallmart shopping cart under the outside stairwell giving the appearance of a flop house. The room smelled and the cleaning crew... More
