I usually stay at the Hilton Hotel located on Paradise. Unfortunatly Hilton Hotels did not renew there lease at this particular location so I thought I would try something a little different. The Golden Nugget in "Old Las Vegas" was more then I expected. The downside of this hotel was that checking in was lengthy. There are about 3-4 places... More

I hadn't stayed at the Nugget in over 10 years. I was amazed at the changes that had transpired. Lets start with the pool. It is an gigantic fish aquarium in the center of the pool. Has a slide that goes through the center and unloads you like a beached whale on the opposite side. Pool area is a bit... More

I stayed in the Rush Tower, which is the newer tower, and thought it was one of the coolest hotel rooms I'd ever stayed in. It was the base room, too. Very modern and had a great view of Vegas (though the strip besides the Stratosphere was blocked). Bed was VERY comfortable, with clean white duvet and fluffy pillows. Every... More

This was my fourth trip to Vegas but my first time downtown. I wasn't quite sure what to expect but we were very happy with the Golden Nugget. We stayed in the Carson Tower which is an older tower but our room was roomy and beautiful. It was very clean and check-in and out were quick. The pool was great... More

This is the 2nd time I have stayed at the Golden Nugget and both times were in the Carson Tower...needs some updating, yet overall I prefer being away from the casino and Fremont activity when resting is the goal. I would stay there again, and honestly making the decision of moving from the strip to downtown was not comfortable...the strip... More

Great hotel. If you are a non-smoker, ask for the "Rush" tower as it is all non-smoking. The rooms are really nice. I have stayed several times and enjoyed the room except for my recent room facing Fremont St. The noise from Fremont St. kept me up until well passed 2am. If you game at the tables, before you leave,... More

Been living in Vegas 15 years, been to Fremont many times. I decided to surprise the wife and spend an evening downtown and go to dinner. I went earlier in the day and checked in at the Golden Nugget, check in was effortless the staff extremely professional and the place was already packed full of people all with smiles. We... More

I have been staying at the Nugget each year for about the past 15 years. It gets better every year I come here. The staff is great and I would compare it to any hotel on the strip but at a much better price. Downtown is so much cheaper than the strip and the Nugget is a must stay. More

First off let me say that it takes alot for me to complain about anything, but I have so many mixed feeling about this hotel. First off my fiance and I have been to Vegas many times and decided to stay on Freemont for once. We stayed in the Rush Tower on the 18th floor, the room was beautiful, especially... More

The last time I visited the Golden Nugget was 20 years ago. I have been back to Vegas on a number of occasions but have always elected to stay on the strip. We chose the Golden Nugget as a new experience and I am so very pleased that we chose this property. THe casino has undergone a wonderful reno with... More
