We chose this hotel because we were travelling with our small dog. The room they gave us was great as we were able to let our dog out of our room directly to the grass courtyard. However, that was the best we can say about the room. The bed was horrible, the coffee maker did not work and the curtain that was supposed to cover the sliding glass door left about 8 inches uncovered. Clearly the room needed to be updated.

If I could I would leave a "0" star! Our stay was one of the most horrible experiences we have ever had. We were celebrating my moms 77th birthday, only to be HARASSED by one of Golden Nuggets security guards. Not once, but 4 times my husband and dad were told that they were CUT OFF! We were constantly being watched. And the WORST PART THEY WEREN'T EVEN DRUNK!! Our waitress confirmed that "No, you guys were perfectly fine" and she further said that only the servers could cut anyone off because they are trained and if we were drunk she would have passed that information to the next shift, but she never did that because they were fine. They claimed my dad was stumbling when he can't even stand for too long without his cane. Then his cane went missing and we went to claim it they said it was a weapon. A WEAPON!!! Unbelievable, we can't even walk with a cane because its a weapon. The head security manager stepped in, but it didn't matter the security guard talked over his manager, and as he walked away, he said, "I better walk away, before this turns into something bigger." After that we weren't able to sleep, we were extremely stressed at how we were treated. It is day 2 and no one has reached out regarding this upsetting event. WE WILL NEVER STAY AT THE GOLDEN NUGGET NOR WOULD WE RECCOMMEND THIS PLACE TO ANYONE!!!!

I'll start off by saying I'm a snowbird in a camper and grab hotel rooms about once a month to stretch and regroup. I found this hotel for a seemingly great deal through Amex Travel even with the resort fees so I grabbed a week. It all began when I arrived with my camper and was directed to their RV lot by security. No problem, I was temporarily parking to check inside where I needed to park anyway. Security asked if I was staying at the hotel and I verified I was to which they said "You're all set, just park over there". I wasn't all set, a few days later I returned to my vehicle to a note on it that I needed to register for "dry camping". I went to the front desk to inform them I was staying in a room and they directed me to security. Security informed me I indeed needed to sign up to their Player's Card, give some personal information, and register to dry camp with my vehicle even though I was staying in the hotel. Annoying and took about 15 minutes, but protocol I guess. Fast forward to me leaving a day or two later, they tagged my vehicle again and placed the tag right over my camping permit. Annoying again, but whatever, I'm done with the place. Actually, I wasn't. It's been about 2 weeks since I stayed there and they've manually entered my credit card for over $200 for whatever reason. The room was paid through Amex Travel, the resort fee and deposit were paid at their desk (and I was refunded the deposit). Now I have to deal with their shenanigans again with a credit card dispute. Also the rooms are pretty lousy, but I was going to look the other way for the price, but not after all this. They also get the price of their room back with the astronomical cost of drinks and food.

Warning to players: if you accidentally take a slot ticket home with you, the Golden Nugget policy is that the ticket must be cashed at the property and it is void after only 30 days. The person on the phone loved telling me that "you better schedule another trip back here pretty quickly". Needless to say I won't be back. What lousy customer service not to try to help out a customer for an honest mistake.

Stayed here on a Saturday night as a weekend trip away from Vegas. The casino and hotel here is dated. Room was pretty spacious but looked old and cleanliness was alright. In my opinion, it’s slightly ridiculous for resort fees to be charged for a mediocre hotel that can’t even be called a resort, especially since Laughlin is on a decline compared to how prosperous it was in the past. The wifi barely worked. Since this hotel is charging a resort fee, they have to maintain and upgrade their amenities to suit that fee.

We stayed for one week and our room was only made up twice and that was because we complained. The hotel is a little run down now and not at its best. There are better hotels available at the same price. On the plus side, the music playing in the resort was excellent.

Not sure why trip advisor ranks so high? Rooms are very old, floors in bath disgusting, noisy, noisy, noisy. Walls are paper thin, hear every step above you. Room and hallways smell like sewer. Like most places in Laughlin everywhere smells like cigarettes. Would not stay here again.

Entrance and casino are up to date but the room was mediocre. Elevator made some interesting noises and when we entered the hallway there was an incredible stench, fortunatly not in the room. Sink is rusty and there is some residue left which they probably can't remove anymore. Bed was fine, pillows a bit old and lumpy. Everything does seem to be clean, i guess the right word is *used*

Very disappointed with our overall experience. Room was not ready to check in when we arrived. Upon entering room we were overcome with the smell of stale cigarette smoke. We opened the patio door and there were about 10 cigarette butts in the ash tray. We were given another room on second floor. Elevator was out of order. Floor and wall of hallway covered in plastic due to repairs. King size bed not available. Second Room also smelled like cigarette smoke. Hotel lobby furniture is worn and cracked. This hotel is in dire need of refurbishing We enjoyed the restaurants and our bed was comfortable but we won’t be staying here again. The musty cigarette smell in the rooms is terrible
