We did not stay at the Horizon Casino but I had to add a plug for their show "Illusion Fusion." It is a wonderful magic show - great for children and adults. We had a great time with our two children, 15 and 13. It is a must see if you are in South Lake Tahoe. More

My family and I stayed at this hotel for three nights in February. Like many people I went on various websites to check out the reviews, most of them were negative but I thought "how bad could it be?" My first thought was that maybe people were exaggerating a little bit, boy was I wrong! I went ahead and booked... More

We rented 3 rooms between our 3 adult girls, their family's and my husband and I. When we first walked into our room, #816, it smelled like someone had just used the toilet and so I asked housekeeping for something to spray in the room to make it smell better, they came and sprayed the carpet and so it was... Got a good rate for a major Hotel & Casino on the Nevada side of the lake. Some rooms were dirty and we had to switch when the air conditioning made too much noise. The The hallways were a little musty smelling and the carpet was worn in some places. There is no concierge on duty to help find you... More

We went Thanksgiving week and got a fabulous deal. No coffee maker or microwave in the room was the only thing I did not like. The hotel was empty during this week( kind of like the move THE SHINING) but it was a nice hotel very comfortable and staff was very friendly and helpful. GREAT location!! Very easy to the... More

This hotel has scaled back a lot. Rooms are clean but very basic. no frills. You can't control the temp in your room. Very hot in the winter. Staff is friendly, but services are limited. No late night food anywhere in the hotel. Bring snacks! No room service. Be prepared to walk down for coffee in the morning. They have... More
