The prices at the Horizon just can't be beat. My husband and I like to stay at the Horizon for quick romantic getaways. I love that it's very quiet and not crowded. They almost always have rooms available last minitue. We never pay more than $100 dollars for a room and the rooms at the other casinos around there are... More

The hotel has a great location and some really pretty views. But the rooms need some upgrades. The beds are very stiff and the rooms don't even have a small fridge if any kind. I would pay a little more to stay at one of the other hotels near by if your budget allows. More

So we had the opportunity to get out of the heat for the day, yes it was over 100 here in AZ again this weekend. Found a cheap room in So. Lake Tahoe, not too much less but less nonetheless. From the looks of the outside, looked nice, staff was awesome, got a "lake view" upgrade for free. View was... More

My husband and I stayed here recently. Beautiful view of the lake and good service, but the hotel lacks a lot "extras" that other hotels offer. No complimentary coffee in the rooms, no fridge and the ice-maker down the hall was out of service. Not a huge deal, but it could have been better. This hotel needs a bit of... More

If you like to roll into the middle of the mattress all night long you might like the Horizon in Tahoe. If you like towels that scrape your skin off, you might like the Horizon in Tahoe. But, the real sign of the quality of this Casino/Hotel is the mildew on the shower curtain. It wasn't a spot of mildew,... More

I thought... how bad could it be? We have really low price discount price for a few nights. It turns out that I would have paid more for a good night sleep, The beds, my room and 4 other friends rooms, had beds that were so worn you can see the indent in the middle before you even un-make the... A friend and I had 2 nights booked here over this past weekend. First of all, the elevator in the parking garage was trashed--it looked as though it had not been cleaned in a year. Totally disgusting. The front desk supervisor checked us in and she was probably the biggest sourpuss I've ever encountered at a hotel. Never smiled once.... More

This hotel is DIRTY! The elevators, the hallways and, worst of all, the bathrooms. The shower curtain was disgusting - covered in mildew. The front desk staff were extremely unfriendly. My advice - pay the extra $30/nt and stay at one of the other casinos. More

Let me start by saying that we have been staying at the Horizon for many years. We are from the Sacramento area and love our getaways to Tahoe. It's never been the best, but for the money it was ok, but now is it totally unacceptable. The people at the check in counter weren't very nice. The room was'nt clean,... More

My biggest complaint about Horizon was it was dirty, trash from previous people staying in the room was left on the floor. Disgusting. Good location however but you'd be better off staying at a Holiday Inn Express for a lot less money, lots of less expensive places around. We stayed there because all the other casino hotels had no vacancies. More
