This was a lovely find. The host couple couldn't be more hospitable, warm or engaged. The location on the lake was great for our autumn walk. Kezar Lake would be great to visit the other three seasons as well although autumn is a super time. Iain entertained us with the piano. Christine is a most gracious host, sharing breakfast and... I was surprised by a trip to the Dragonfly B&B this past weekend by a friend. I had never heard of it before so I was completely in the dark so to speak. Upon arriving at 9:45 pm, we were warmly greeted by Ian and Christine, the owners of the Dragonfly B&B. While getting our bags out of the car,... More

Iain and Christine offer a warm welcome to their comfortable home in a quiet, peaceful setting. The guest rooms are spacious, airy and well-equipped. You can go for a swim in the lake, relax with a book on the patio, listen to Iain (an accomplished pianist) playing Chopin or admire Christine's paintings displayed throughout the house. Breakfast was delicious, with... More

We stayed at Dragonflies B & B and were treated like good friends. Christine and Iain have created a warm and comforting atmosphere to sink in to. After being shown our rooms, we were offered refreshments - hot tea and they served them with cookie like biscuits. Their wood stove was welcoming and warm, and Christine and Iain sat with... More

Official Description (provided by the hotel):
In 2000, Christine and Iain Gilmour focused their skills and 40 years of hospitality experience on a lakeside cottage in New Hampshire, where just a few guests can anticipate warmth, comfort, two beautiful cats, music, art and, in a word -- serenity. Lipkissing the shore of Kezar Lake at the center of North Sutton, Dragonflies B&Bis less than five minutes drive from Interstate 89, but far enough, surrounded by trees and flowers, to replace traffic noise with daily birdsongs and seasonal evenings accompanied by mass choruses from tree-frogs. Although there is Wi-fi access for computer-oriented guests, the bigger decision at Dragonflies will be where to have breakfast. (Dependent on weather and temperature, breakfast could be in a cosy dining room, on a screened porch or on an open-air flagstoned patio overlooking the lake.) Take your choice from surrounding towns to browse, select a restaurant for lunch or dinner, kayak on the lake, swim in the lake, or walk the 3-mile circumference of the lake. On appropriate evenings, Chris and Iain may invite guests to join them for a sunset cruise on The Duchess, their pontoon boat. There are just two guest bedrooms on Dragonflies’ first floor, both with southern lake views and private bathrooms. SunRise has two queen size beds, SunSet has one king size bed. Evenings, Iain often plays classical music on the grand piano lulling you to sleep with dreams of Chris’s renowned breakfasts. ... more   less
