We just returned from another awesome visit at Saltwood House. We stay here twice a year and would never consider another B&B. The location is great (close to the beach and in the center of Jackson Street, so great for people watching), on-site parking is a plus, breakfasts are great, the beds are extremely comfortable, and you will not find... Great location, parking, good food, and great friends! You can't beat the location of the Saltwood House. It's only 1/2 block from the beach, which makes it really convenient if you want to go back and forth to the beach. Also,if you have ever visited Cape May, you will know that finding a parking spot is nearly impossible in the... More

This week, I was back in Cape May again – seems I just can’t stay away! I wanted to share the “magic” of the Saltwood with my friends, Ruth and Phil. They met Don, Erik, saw the Saltwood – I gave them a “personal tour” since it is like my “home away from home”, after all. They loved it and... More

Where to begin? The Saltwood House is so elegantly furnished and decorated. Don is a gracious and accommodating host. With one site parking, we were able to walk everywhere we wanted to go. Just a short distance to the beach, shops, and restaurants. Breakfast was delicious. Wish we had more time to enjoy the rockers on the porch, maybe next... More

We stay at the Saltwood House twice a year. We just returned from another great experience there. Don is a gracious and friendly host, the breakfasts are great and both Don and Erik go out of their way to make sure your stay is comfortable and enjoyable. Having such a great location and on-site parking make the 3 hour drive... More

The Saltwood House is THE "must stay" B&B in Cape May! Not only are Don and Erik wonderful hosts, the Saltwood House is located just a 1/2 block to the best beach in Cape May and provides plenty of On-Site parking! In a victorian beach town where street parking is at an absolute premium and parking tickets will cost you... More

First time staying in Cape May, we hoped for a lovely Victorian and certainly found one. Don was so welcoming and helpful. Bed was very comfortable and breakfast lovely. Location perfect. Walk to everything. Another guest told me they have stayed in many other places in Cape May and this is by far the best. Will definately return.

Don & Erik are exceptional innkeepers. This was our first visit. We felt welcomed, informed, & well cared for. The house is lovely & immaculate. I can't begin to say how wonderful it was to rock on the charming front porch. We had an unusual room, in that our private bath was just across the hall. It wasn't a problem... More

We just stayed for a week at the Saltwood for the 3rd consecutive summer (we've been there twice offseason, too), and it's still tops in every category for me. We booked for next year too, as the Saltwood has become a tradition for us. Cape May, the beach, the Saltwood, Don and Erik, the restaurants, the shopping... have all created... More

My partner & went to the Saltwood House for the first time in 2010 & have been going back every since (twice each year). We just got back from a 6 day stay & I would not think of staying anywhere else in the area. Everything about it is the same; it is STILL immaculate (including the beach chairs &... More
