I won't argue that the room was lovely and the location is nice if you want to be on the lambertville side of town. There is no guarantee of onsite parking. Upon arrival we found no available parking and I went in to inquire. The staff was not in the least welcoming, which was quite a turn off. On my arrival the front desk person was cold and didn't even say hello as I approached the desk [she was looking at her screen, which was fine but a warm hello and I'll be with you in a moment would have changed the experience quite a bit!]. She repeated several rote statements about credit card fees and hours of the restaurant before giving me another rote speech [this is obviously not unusual] about how I'd be getting a pass to the municipal lot [which was empty anyway - so gee thanks] and directions to it [several blocks from where I was standing - I'm glad it wasn't raining and I had no mobility issues!] and giving me a key. I then heard her repeat all this in the same tone to the people who were waiting behind me. The following morning I returned my key to a new desk person, equally remote, no thank you, only asking if I'd'enjoyed anything' from the room offerings so she could charge me as needed. Then as I waited with my luggage for my partner to bring the car around I was treated to the desk person and another staffer complaining about visiting folks [conference center it sounded like, doing a scavenger hunt] and how irritating it was to accomodate this because they were busy. I was at most 8 feet away and they were not whispering - who wants to hear staff complain about guests? Ick. In addition while I don't see 'gym' listed here it WAS listed on expedia as having a gym - one of the things I look for when booking. It does NOT have one - they will give you a pass to a gym somewhere in New Hope, which I guess you can drive to by walking several blocks to your car. No thank you. It was not a cheap hotel and I expected a better experience. We won't be returning.

Staff is friendly. Place is right near Restaurants and bars in Lambertville and New Hope. The 2 is for how ridiculous is it that they charged me almost $20 CC fee for booking a 464 dollar room on line with my credit card! If you book for two nights I guess your suppose to plop 1000 on their desk!

First off, I never/rarely give 5 stars. From the minute we pulled into the parking lot I felt the stress melt away. By the time I got to check in I had already decided to book an additional night. The first room was amazing, more like a suite. Second night was a different room and equally unique and inviting. I have not been to New Hope in 30 years and it did not disappoint. It has gotten better. Like the calm and peace of the beach without all the noise. Crowded yet not compromised. We will definitely keep this as a wonderful adventure and memory as Lambertville Hotel had a lot to do with it.

We got one of the two street facing rooms that have a private porch! It was a very large porch with amazing street views. Our room had a fireplace and was quiet and comfortable. (Although the bed was super high- they provide a step stool to get into it!) The room and bathroom were also quite spacious. The jet tub however was very dangerous to get in and out of. The sides were high and thick with slopes and/or knobs sticking out. No grab bars! Anyone with balance or knee issues would sure have a hard time with it. (And who uses jet tubs anymore anyway? Yuck.) I asked about an accessible room for my elderly parents to possibly book, but there's only one in the hotel and it too has a jet tub...just with grab bars!! Yikes! So sadly I'll book them elsewhere in the future. They do have an elevator though! We ate outside on the porch of the Lambertville House Restaurant (great for people watching) on our first night and were not impressed with the food/service. There was limited food options available (on a holiday weekend?!) and it took over an hour to get our "just ok" food. Servers were nice, but service was lacking. I love the vibe of the hotel and restaurant but would probably just go there for drinks the next time. The location is perfect for walking around town and even over the bridge to PA! Tons of shops and restaurants on both sides of the bridge. There are a few parking spots on the property and an overflow lot 2 short blocks away. Overall, I'd stay again and have a drink or two at the historic bar.

Thank you for sharing your detailed feedback about your recent stay with us. We're glad to hear that you enjoyed the street-facing room with a private porch, fireplace, and the spacious accommodations. Your comments about the jet tub are duly noted, and we apologize for any inconvenience it may have caused. We appreciate your constructive feedback about the restaurant experience and will certainly use this as an opportunity to improve our service and menu options. Rest assured, your comments about accessibility have also been taken into account, and we are actively working on enhancing our options for guests with specific needs. We do offer rooms with shower access only, it does not have the high jetted tub. It's wonderful to hear that you enjoyed the hotel's location and the charm of Lambertville. We hope to have the opportunity to welcome you back for a more satisfying dining experience and another comfortable stay in the future. Warm regards, Guest Services at the Lambertville House

This was a spot that I always wanted to check out, and we were not disappointed. Our corner room was lovely and spacious. There was a lovely choice of wines available on the dresser (for a price). Every staff person that we met was friendly and helpful. It is in a great location. Cons would be the smelly fireplace and the cost. I thought it was a little pricey, but worth the one time experience.

Just went to the bar for a drink. A bit on the expensive side given the disappointing quality. We all ordered cocktails only to be perplexed and disappointed when some of our group received their “Irish coffees”. A plain mug. With coffee. And a shot of Jameson (I figured out from the bill.) This is an Irish coffee? I queried. “I don’t have whipped cream” was the retort (not an apology) from the bartender. Would have been good to know that beforehand.

Great location in an historic town - it was so convenient to have parking included. It IS an old building - so we expected that. But, we did not know that the tub in the small bathroom was a deep and narrow jacuzzi. Not something either of us were willing to try to clamber in and out of. (I asked later and found that a few upgraded rooms have a more modern shower arrangement installed). Also, the carpet had a big bulge in it just at the room's entrance - easy to trip over. They are trying to update the rooms - so perhaps by summer 2023 the carpet will be replaced. We'd stay again - but would definitely check to get a room with a different bathing arrangement.

I had a reservation at the hotel checking in November 25 and checking out November 26. I made the reservation through booking.com. I initially gave a bank card to secure the reservation. Within 2 hours, I changed my bank card to a credit card. I cancelled my reservation on November 19th, the last day to do so before I would be charged. However, in looking over my bank statement on Sunday, November 27, I realized my bank card had been charged $447.00. I immediately telephoned the hotel and was advised that yes, in fact, I had cancelled my reservation but that the card was charged in error. I was also advised that my card would be credited within 3 to 5 days. Today marks the 6th day that my bank card was unlawfully and illegally charged and there is still no credit. The hotel has had my $447 for no reason whatsoever. I telephoned the hotel and left messages but have not received a response. I also contacted booking.com and they left the hotel a message. I am now told that a reimbursement could take as long as 15 days. There was no reason whatsoever for this hotel to charge my credit card. I have demanded an immediate refund and a return telephone call from the manager
