Stayed here during Rutgers Day. Great location, very good price. Not a fancy place by any stretch of the imagination, and you don't get much in the way of amenities. Rooms are spartan - almost like a Rutgers dorm room - but good if you don't plan on spending time in your room. Nice service from a friendly staff. Located... More

A generally acceptable residence for university guests, with limited dining facilities: they offer a "breakfast package" for $10 which we declined, and snacks are available in vending machines. Our room was equipped with a microwave and a refrigerator, but no in-room coffee, or drinking glasses (I borrowed some from the lobby coffee service. There was also no fitness room, so... More

Thank you so much for the feedback. I apologize for the lack of cups in your room. Our rooms are normally stocked with two cups. I also wanted to let you know part of our goal for FY 13 is to identify a location on site where we could install a few pieces of exercise equipment. equipment. More

Last evening I attended a conference/meeting at this facility. It is conveniently located on the Cook/Douglass campus at Rutgers University. It is a retreat type facility with conference rooms and rooms for lodging. It is part new and part old in that part of it is the elegant Carpender estate once owned by Robert Wood Johnson's daughter. The newer faciltiy... More

The Rutgers Univ Inn & Conference Center was recently renovated and given this name. My wife and I stayed here while settling our daughter, a new Rutgers student, into her dorm. The place is attractively decorated, but: the bed was too hard to sleep in, our refrigerator was too noisy, and, worst of all for me, the toilet seat was... More

- On the Rutgers campus. Ideal if you are visiting the campus. - Less than $80 a night, including taxes. My room had two double beds, a refrigerator and a microwave. - Rooms are comfortable and quiet with good internet and working desk, + a side chair. - Not easy to find on internet, but website is stay.rutgers.edu - Downside... I don't know why some of the reviews are so negative. This place is in a charming old building with lovely grounds and is very quiet. It has nice, but not luxurious, rooms with all the amenities including a refrigerator/freezer. It has been fairly recently renovated, so everything is freshly painted and very clean. There's free wifi and hot drinks... More

Rooms are in bad need of renovations. Heating system is noisy, and in my room there was only one heater very far from the bathroom, so that taking a shower required quite a lot of courage. The dining room, where breakfast is served, is very cold. I happened to have a room separated by the nearby one just by a... More

We stayed here for about 15 nights over one month. It was fine ... but we had no car, so the fact that it was on a regular bus-route to the town-centre was a big plus. Also, we met some interesting people there. Don't believe the other critical reviews! We were very happy there. people were friendly - not anonymous... More

The University Inn is a good place to stay if you are coming to Rutgers for business. I stayed there one night while coming to campus for a meeting, and the location was wonderful. Besides that, however, well, it's hard to find good things. The few staff I interacted with were actually very nice and helpful. The physical aspects of... More

I stayed here for one night when I was deciding on grad schools and visited the campus. The dark brick walls and depressing vibe almost made me want to decide against accepting the offer from Rutgers, even though it was a really good assistantship offer. I have stayed at university accomodations at NYU, U of Wisconsin in Madison, and UCLA,... More
