We stayed at one of the family cabins for two nights in cold June. We were happy to see that they had heaters! The cabins had 4 single beds. One bathroom... small but adequate. There was sufficient pots, flatware, plates, etc. and you used the communal kitchen for cooking. We were told that we had to make a reservation at... More

We stayed in the rondevels and woke to the sound of barking hyenas in the water hole at midnight. They barked, howled and swam for about 30 minutes while we watched mesmerized. I think we saw every one of the 550 elephants in the park as well as jackel, bushpig, kudu, zebra, red haretbeest, warthog, buffalo, tortoise, rhino, ostrich, monkeys... More

2 nights in Rondevel 4 gave us the opportunity to watch the lit waterhole after dark, wrapped in the blankets provided against the chill, and to see the stars in the night sky with little light 'pollution'. There WAS a tree in front of this rondevel, but it did not completely obstruct the view, and the sounds of animals in... More

We drove from Port Elizabeth and found Addo National Park really easy to get to. We had booked everything online (including conservation fees) and although we checked in at 12pm we weren’t able to get our keys until 2pm. At checkin we were informed of the times the shop and restaurant opened and closed, but this was a little different... More

We stayed at the Main Rest camp in a chalet for four nights. Upon arrival late in the afternoon, our reservation was efficiently dealt with by the pleasant reception staff. We were informed about restaurant bookings, shop hours etc. We popped in at the restaurant to reserve our dinner table before continuing to our spotlessly clean, freshly aired chalet. Dinner:... We camped here for one night - the pitches are good and the showers very hot and clean. There's a lovely little kitchen unit as well where you can cook on the hob or wash dishes. The night game drive was good fun, although if you have your own vehicles I would recommend driving round the park yourself too. A... More

When we decided to spend three days at Addo, it was either stayed outside the park at a regular prices, or staying right were we wanted to be and paying somewhat extra. We chose the latter and didn't regret it. The camp is nicely set up, offering good game drives and a relaxing atmosphere. At night you hear the jackals,... More

We stayed in a chalet - good National Park accommodation, comfortable and spacious. Kitchen facilities were very good and inside (unlike Kruger). Facilities beginning to look a bit old, but still serviceable. Cleaning standard good. Chalets are away from the waterhole, so don't expect a view. (The rondavels have the view, but communal kitchen facilities). We didn't use the restaurant,... More

Stayed one night in Harpoor at the Main Camp. The accommodation was excellent. Really spacious with great facilities including a large TV which was great for the kids after our game drive. We had planned to eat ta the restaurant in the evening but our experience at lunch was poor. We were the only ones eating and there was 4... More
