Ubuntu is one of the best backpackers i have ever been to, it is definitively in my top 3. People running it are kind, fun, generous... they made us feel inmediately at home. We shared with them a brai on the terrace. They know well the surrondings and have good advice. I really recommend it!

A few key things that stood out for me... firstly the location, it is one street back from the beach on a slight rise so you have a good view of the water (local shops nearby too which was handy), secondly the facilities are in great condition - the bedroom/dorm I stayed in was excellent and bathroom facilities always clean... Woweee, what an amazing stay! We were welcomed in after a long journey. Such a comfortable, modern, african style, homelike backpackers. The beds were comfortable, the chill tv area was divine and even more amazing was the chill area outside. Such stunning views from the balcony. My stay at Ubuntu was awesome! The owner, Daryn, was super friendly and helpful. The place is the one of the tidiest I've been to and being across the road from the beach and local shops, didn't need to drive anywhere. Ubuntu really feels like a home away from home

Our first stay at Ubuntu in October and we really enjoyed it, being 4 South Africans and 1 New Zealander; we shared the 6 bed dorm. The shower/toilet/kitchen facilities were clean and well kept. Been there with my wife! Very tidy and clean, friendly staff! Nice view from the veranda, good pool table and bar. Only shared bathrooms, but without any problems. Downstairs is the best shower! Very honest, great quality over price.
