Recently found this gem of a spot on the outskirts of Tzaneen clsoe to Magoeboeskloof as our stop-over for a bike rally for the Harley Chapter recently opened in Nelspruit. Lovely rooms, brilliant service from the staff, lots of large shady trees and fantastic lapa on the river below the lodge for a magic dinner experience. Well done to the... More

The reviews of this hotel range from excellent to terrible but I told myself own experience counts and I was not disappointed. The 4* rooms are sufficiently spacious, the walk-in shower is great, the rooms are equipped with big TV screen and ceiling fan, for cold nights there is an open fireplace in the anteroom. Trees and bushes are everywhere,... More

This was not a great stay - cold shower as the geyser tripped and I saw at least 3 cockroaches in what was suppose to be 5 star accommodation.

My daughter and I were walk-in clients on the evening of the 26th of April. I was offered two options the “five star” accommodation and the “4-star” accommodation, both at outrageous prices (R1950 for the five-star). We paid R950 for one night for the supposed four-star. I was there was no walk-in rate. The woman at the front desk looked... More

Magnificent location next to a gentle river with nature at its most beautiful, we enjoyed a completely satisfying luxurious stay with genuine 5 Star quality in every aspect from the hugely impressive rooms to the absolutely devine restaurant. Valentine's Day could not have been any more special for my partner and me. The Village at Fairview is a serious must-stay... More

Our room was dusty, old, stinky and very dark; a blade of the ceiling fan was broken, tap was also broken, during nights we had some bugs visits. Absolutely not worthy its cost.

We experienced true hospitality and good service at Fairview River Lodge. We were expected on arrival and our rooms were clean and well prepared. The food and service at the restaurant were excellent and it was convenient to go there. They arranged for me to use one of their conference rooms for a meeting and my business friends and I... More

We stayed for one night in the Lodge. The staff was helpful and efficient and we really had a good time. The room was clean and the bathroom as well. Although it was midweek and not season, everything was to our satisfaction! We learned that the surroundings of Tzaneen are also very interesting. So we will come back - next... More
