Thank you for our stay at La Petite Dauphine Guest House. Our stay was far too short, and would have loved to have spent a longer time there to enjoy the Tranquility and Beauty of this heavenly surrounding of the mountains and orchards, and the tastefully furnished chalet nestled in this picturesque part of Franschhoek. .We enjoyed a delicious breakfast at... We recently stayed at La Petite Dauphine with our 7yr old son to celebrate my husbands 40th birthday. This was booked for us by my father in law. What a stunning place. We relaxed from the moment we arrived. Rooms are spacious with quality bath products & even a nespresso machine in the room. Sadly it was too cold to... More

We stayed here in April 2013 for a nearby wedding, and this is probably one of the nicest places I have stayed in. The suites are stunning and leave no wishes open, and the property itself is like out of a picture book - we absolutely adored it and I don't think I have stayed anywhere this nice in a... More

Lying in an enormous, high, carved two-poster bed, with the feel of silky white linen against my skin, I found it hard to choose where to look. My contented gaze moved between admiring the elegant room, watching the characterful ducks doing quintessentially duck-like things in the pond outside the double doors of my cottage, and looking up at the Franschhoek... We spent six nights at La Petite Dauphine as part of a trip to Cape Town and we will definitely be back. The cottages are spacious (each with its own separate lounge), beautifully decorated and more or less secluded. It is clear that the hotel management have gone to a lot of trouble to make it feel like a home... More

I'm very glad to have travelled back to Franschhoek and to have discovered this wonderful gem. Tastefully decorated cottages - 100m2 or more all to yourself - some with a private pool - nice staff, you can see the team is dedicated to service. Life on a wineyard is lovely. A few months ago I made the mistake of staying... More

La Petite Dauphine is an incredible small, out of the way, winery/guest house and restaurant in Franschhoek. We came for the famous carrot cake and stayed in a wonderfully secluded cottage for two nights! The decor is exceptionally luxurious yet comfortable and the hosts are wonderfully open and gracious. I would highly recommend this place for dinner/lunch and certainly spend... More

We spent two days at La Petite Dauphine in December 2012. Our chalet was beautifully furnished with separate lounge and bedroom and a view from patio of the mountains and vineyards. It is a place preferably for couples and not kids as pool is near chalet and can become noisy. I would definitely be back.

Overall a really lovely place in a beautiful scenic location. The breakfast and rooms are superb but the staff don't seem that happy and breakfast is slightly chaotic but the food and ambience is beautiful. You have to share pool which is right outside your patio which is not ideal but it is four star rather than five so you... More
