Don't consider St Croix if you want to be able to walk to restaurants,shops or places of interest. This is for folk who want to chill out ,enjoy peace and quiet,read, swim in the pool,have a Braai and if the mood takes you hop in your car and find one of the gourmet restaurants in Franschhoek about 10 Km away.... The cottage was amazing and the accommodation (two bedrooms with en suite bathrooms) suited us as we were travelling with my 93 year old father in law. The cottage was well equipped and clean. There was even a vase of roses from the garden in the cottage when we arrived! A very tranquil setting with stunning views of the mountains!
