We booked out Agincourt for our wedding guests over the Easter weekend. There was lots of comings and goings with there being 20 of us and Joun and Sheila couldn't have been more hospitable and welcoming. They accommodated unusual requests such as a ' hand mirror' 'travel plugs' and John even made sure my wedding dress had a crease free... More

Stayed in Agincourt for the second time ... This time with my parents. Warm welcome, lovely large bed room, heavenly organic breakfast and lots of help to help us prepare our visits .... Looking forward to come back ! More

We loved our time at Agincourt and think John and Sheila are the perfect hosts. Breakfast was incredible (especially after a long night of wine tasting!) and the lodge was immaculately clean and well looked after. Sheila's troop (5) of rescued dogs were always a delight and very well behaved -- except for the occasional naughty sausage seeking Sparky! If... More

Our first challenge was actually finding this Guest House. The sat nav we had couldn't find it, and took us up the Franshhoek pass, then wanted us to turn left off a cliff! If you are going up a mountain you are going the wrong way! After a call to the proprietor we found the place. If you are staying... More

We stayed here for two nights and really enjoyed the experience. John and Sheila are great hosts and the most helpful people we have ever stayed with-nothing was too much trouble and they helped with ideas on what to do and where to eat. John arranged for us to be collected and taken to two restaurants and on to Stellanbosch... More

My husband and I stayed at Agincourt while on a short weekend getaway from the city. It really was the perfect pick. But I must preface this review by saying that, if you're the kind of person who would rather have a solitary holiday where you want to retreat into your space or have an annoymous breakfast while reading your... My wife and I returned here after a year away and were pleased to see nothing had changed (except for tarmac from the monument to the beginning of the drive) and so it is very much a case of endorsing all the positive comments which people make. It is quiet and relaxing and even being under six feet tall I... More

We had a fabulous stay here at Agincourt and I fail to understand the comments by some other reviewers. John and Sheila are so kind, friendly and helpful, and try to make your stay perfect. I had a bad ankle whilst there and John even lent me an ankle support (it was Sunday and the pharmacy was closed). They have... More

We had a really lovely stay at Agincourt Guest House for one night in January - we wished we could have stayed longer! John, Sheila (and dogs!!) were very friendly and really helped us to make the most out of our short stay in Franschhoek. We spent time relaxing by the large pool, saw a beautiful sunset and enjoyed an... More

Firstly, one must say that John is really helpful and welcoming. His local knowledge, particularly about restaurants and wineries, is superb, and in two instances he phoned ahead to restaurants to warn of my wife’s allergies and in one case to arrange a collection and drop-off. The approach road to the guest house is in a deplorable state and badly... More
