We stayed in Angelica cottage with extended family and found it to be clean, comfortable, spacious and well-equipped. For us, the whole set-up just worked really well; the owners have clearly put a lot of thought into what they offer. By filling the cottage almost to capacity, we got absolutely fantastic value for money - but I concluded that it... More

We have just returned from a fantastic trip to South Africa, where we spent four nights at The Tarragon (Saffron Cottage) and enjoyed every minute. The location is perfect, less than half an hour's drive into Cape Town with the advantage of being away from the hustle and bustle of the city. Very well furnished cottage, beautiful views, privacy, a... More

We recently stayed here as a party of 7; 4 adults and 3 children. This property was ideal for us during our visit in terms of facilities and location and the staff were brilliant and nothing was too much trouble. The lounge, kitchen and bedrooms in the Angelica were spacious and well equipped (they even provided toys for the children).... More

This was our second visit to the Tarragon and it was a joy to go back. Previous reviews have provided much detail and we agree with it all. Peaceful, incredibly scenic with modern, luxury accommodation. Add to that the staff who all look after you so well and what more could you want? We have travelled throughout South Africa as... More

The Tarragon is even better than it looks in the pictures. The setting was gorgeous and convenient for driving into CapeTown and the surrounding areas. We stayed in Ivy and it was perfect for us and our 12 year old daughter. Immaculately clean and well presented - we only wish we could have stayed for longer. The pool area is... More

This was our second time staying at the Tarragon and we loved it just as much as before. The whole family stayed for a birthday celebration, the adjoining cottages accommodated all 10 of us and worked perfectly. Mark and his team do everything to ensure a comfortable stay and this, together with the beautiful surroundings, made for another wonderful holiday. More

The Tarragon is a superb property set at the back of table mountain, overlooking picturesque Hout Bay. We spent 3 days in the Saffron & Ivy cottages in early Feb 2012 and we found this to be an ideal location from which to explore Cape Town and surrounding areas. The cottages were of a very good size with large walk-in... More

We stayed at Tarragon (Angelica) for one week in November 2011. There was plenty of space inside and out for the children to play, a lovely pool all with great views. The accommodation was clean and very welcoming. All the rooms and bathrooms were very spacious and kitchen had everything you might need. The children (aged 3&2) thought the extensive... More

We stayed at The Tarragon (Jasmine), for three days in January 2012. The accommodation was perfect, lovely gardens and pool, large bedroom and bathroom and well equipped kitchen. The views from the gardens were fabulous, and the location is ideal for visiting Cape Town and the many great places on the Cape. We would recommend the Tarragon in every respect.... More

The Tarragon offers the perfect relaxing hide-out, away from the bustle of more urban areas, yet it is only 5 minutes from restaurants and shops.Book early, as there are just 5 detached cottages. Many people like us feel the location couldnt be bettered. The views and tranquility are life-restoring , and the large family pool is a perfect sun-warmed temperature, very... More
