Trevor and his wife are the perfect hosts. Very laid back and down to earth. We had the family room and it was the most comfortable bed ever! Breakfasts were superb and leisurely and we loved Themba the dog! Trevor kindly arranged a tour for us to the shanty town that was most interesting.

A great start to our first trip to South Africa. Trevor and Julie were very helpful, booking restaurants and making recommendations. We had a lovely rustic room with private balcony overlooking the harbour. This is a great spot to explore the Cape, Cape Town and some wineries. Just beware the entrance to the Guesthouse is very steep.

This guest house is situated on a hill that is about a 5 minute drive to the beach. The top floor rooms have balconies that overlook the bay. Could not have had a better stay! From the moment June and Trevor greeted us at the front gate they could not have been more lovely. Gorgeous rooms, great location with amazing views and more importantly the most delicious breakfast! I could not recommend Amblewood more.

We highly recommend this place if you want to visit Capetown, yet stay away from all the hustle of the centre. Friendly owners, generous breakfast, quietness and wonderful views, it's all in the programme.
