Unit "Uno" is, as I told my wife, the way I would design and decorate our home if we were starting from scratch. It contains everything in an easterner's romantic notions of northern New Mexico. One side faces a large open courtyard with lots of blooming trees, fountains and benches outside each unit. The other side has a balcony that... More

As other reviews mention, this place will separate you from the world of cell and Internet, though sounds of traffic will keep you from forgetting cars. It is a short walk from El Sanctuario. The courtyard is very pretty and having a fireplace in the room is a treat. Bed linens were a little tired, and pillows not to my... More

This is absolutely the place to decompress. No cell service or wifi. Bring a book. Come when the weather is cooler and light the fireplace!! More

Lovely old hacienda across the street from the restaurant. Quiet spot with shady trees, water running in the courtyard, and six individual rooms or suites, each with high ceilings, beautiful wood floors, authentic period furnishings and decent bathrooms. Really a lovely spot, friendly and helpful staff and a very good continental breakfast served in your room or the courtyard. Real... More

Note it is across the street from Rancho de Chimayo Restraunt. Dirt driveway and parking. Historic B&B. No curb appeal. Viola shows us to our room, numero uno. You go thru a bit of an arch into a small courtyard (6 or 7 rooms and lots of benches and chairs) that is a big upgrade from what we have seen... More

I'm not saying that the Hacienda isn't a wonderful place to stay, because it is. It's just not a 5-star big city hotel. It's a place to disconnect and relax. Cell phones are somewhat marginal and there's no internet or TV. Bring a book. The Hacienda has beautiful high wooden ceilings with log beams and wood floors. However it's a... More

When I booked our weekend getaway at the Hacienda in Chimayo, a tiny village in the northern New Mexico mountains, I was a bit concerned that the inn did not have a policy to send a confirmation letter or email, and I trusted that we really would have a room when we arrived last Friday. Not to worry! Our large,... More

A very comfortable hacienda that is exactly what one would expect in Chimayo...adobe, log ceilings, high ceilings..the service, friendliness and especially the in room delivered continental breakfast were topnotch...they are across the street from The Rancho de Chimayo, a top restaurant, and you can exchange the continental breakfast for a 50% discount on a full breakfast on weekends( which was... WE first stayed at the Hacienda when it was only a year or so old. We have returned multiple times and stayed in almost every room each of which has its own wonderful charm. The joy of being there is to be steeped in the beauty of the area, the history, much of which is not well known and certainly... More

For this trip we wanted to enjoy some local color and decided to select small establishments like Rancho de Chimayo Hacienda when visiting Taos, Santa Fe and Chimayo. By far, the Rancho de Chimayo Hacienda was the loveliest. The staff was very helpful and kind to us. Our room was wonderful - large and well kept. The building is quite... More
