Our most recent trip took us through Clayton, New Mexico, on the way to Oklahoma. We wanted to stay somewhere before getting to Texas and took a chance. Driving through town the first hotel we tried was the Days Inn. The clerk was friendly and helpful. She was so pleasant I was shocked. As an added benefit, the room and...

I stayed there because of severe weather and I didn't want to drive anymore, the room had this awful stench.
Between the stench and trains blowing there're horn all night, it certainly didn't make for a good nights rest.
The room was outdated and wear and tear was everywhere.

We were passing though town on a reunion weekend so all hotels were booked up. We stopped in on the day of arrival and asked if there were any cancellations. We were grateful to be given a king suite for the price of the standard room with 2 queens. The room was well maintained, very clean and nice. Our 10...

The staff was very nice and helpful during check-in. The whole process was quick and easy. The rooms were clean, everything worked. I had no problems. It had everything you would need for a stay. The rates were very good compared to other places in Clayton. The pool was nice, I like indoor pools. I would stay here again without...

The staff were very courteous, but the place smelled terrible. We had a non-smoking room, but all the cleanliness couldn't cover the smell of cigarettes and B.O. Alas, never again.

Went back checked in the price was not what we were quoted over the phone a higher price after arguing with a hateful desk clerk she finally gave us the price quoted. We went to...

I stayed here with my wife and our two young children on a family vacation. The hotel was clean, had friendly staff and nice rooms. The continental breakfast was decent, nothing special, but decent (would be nice if there were a little more fresh fruit though). The indoor pool is small but nice and well kept. It's an expensive place...

Clayton is at the crossroads of four U.S. Highways, yet the lodging choices are limited in this small, dusty, rundown cowtown. The Days Inn on the south end of town is at least as nice as the average entry in this brand, and probably a touch better than you would expect. Indoor pool is refreshing, breakfast is servicable, rooms are...

We stayed here on our way to Montrose, Colorado and enjoyed it so much. Everyone was so friendly. Would definitely stay here again.
