Stayed at La Dona Luz Inn in Taos New Mexico for 3 nights in May 2012, Joh and I booked "The Yellow Bird Deer Room" and fell in love with it the moment I opened the door! I would say it was the best room in the house!!! Paul "Paco" the owner s very welcoming and a wonderful host, met... More

You can feel the passion and creativity of Paco-the owner- for his property. We originally booked 4 nigts and ended staying 6! Although we had to move a few times from room (since we kept extending) it was actually a great experience, as it got better and better. We spent two nights in the Red Willow suite-very cozy and picturesque!... More

We stayed in the Yellow Bird Suite. Loved being able to walk to the plaza and to restaurants. Breakfast was continental - the servers were very friendly. I really enjoyed having the private living area as well. For the price, this was a great option for two nights. More

My friend and I stayed at this Inn during a "girlfriends" trip to New Mexico. The owner, Paco Castillo, was very welcoming as he checked us in. We were in the Los Angelitos Suite, which had a comfortable bedroom and a sunny sitting room with a trundle bed. Despite being a block away from a busy street, it was very... More

My wife and I have been traveling as often as we can for 20 years, usually staying in B&Bs. La Dona Luz is one of my 2 favorites. It's a 3 minute walk from the central plaza of Taos, but situated on a quiet dead end lane. The breakfast had many different options, including cooked-to-order waffles. But the biggest draw... More

This is a nice little B&B located just off the plaza, with parking so you can just walk to everything. Room was interesting, breakfast left a lot to be desired in comparison to other B&B's; only complaint was room was a bit dirty and the mattress was too soft. Also, I had thought the roof top hot tub is ONLY... More

Everything about this place is terrific! The location is on a small side street just a stone's throw from the major intersection of 64 and 68, yet it was very quiet. It is a beautifully and funkily renovated traditional house. Our room, La Sonrisa, was exuberantly decorated with folk painting on pretty much every wall surface. There was a kiva... More

We stayed in Yellow Bird suite and it couldn't have been nicer. Comfy king sized bed, kiva in a semi separate room with a door to the courtyard. Great jacuzzi tub. Tasteful and authentic native relics made the room particularly welcoming. Only a block and a half to the plaza. We were off season and loved the quiet, friendly town.... More

Our first night at La Dona Luz B&B was in the Angelitos suite, full of small angel statues, art by local artists, and Navajo rugs. We liked it so much we asked to stay another night later in the week. The 2nd night was in the Yellow Deer suite, which had big Indian drums for bed stands, spectacular painted pots... More

Enjoyed my 3 night stay over New Years. Breakfast was lovely and the staff was very welcoming. Choices included regular or banana cinnamon waffles made to order, fresh fruit, yogurt, granola, hard boiled eggs, toast, juice, and coffee. Stayed in La Luz which is on the 3rd floor up a wooden spiral staircase. Paco helped carry my luggage up to... More
