My daughter and I decided we needed a short get away. Since she lives in El Paso, we chose relatively nearby Geronimo Trails as our destination. I am an experienced rider-she is not-yet we both had a grand time. Merris (the owner) and her main wrangler, Seth, customized rides for each of us. The cabins are basic but welcoming and... More

My husband and I decided that we needed a relaxing yet adventurous getaway for our October 2012 anniversary. Luckily we found Geronimo Trail Guest Ranch! Neither of us is an experienced horse rider, so going on a weeklong vacation to a guest ranch was a little nerve-wracking for me. There was no need to worry, though, because Meris and Seth... More

I’ll not effuse, this was a grand experience. The food is very good basic cooking, the rides are tailored to your interests, there’s a horse to meet your ability. However, not, it is not a spa; it is a ranch…but just a great place with great scenery and great people. Meris and Seth are so accommodating I almost felt guilty.... More

Great choice to go to Geronimo Trail Guest Ranch. While this trip was a few years ago, this was a great trip the family still talks about. We arrived there at 7pm (it was funny, when I called from town they said I would never make it for dinner… I did)… Our stay was great, horses were good, I was... More

I went to ride, not play golf or tennis or to go swimming. I went to ride in beautiful terrain that is different from the beauiful terrain I ride at home. I went to ride horses other than my own because my trail horse knows what I want even if I give him sloppy cues and I wanted to improve... More

My husband and twelve year old son just returned from 4 days at Geronimo Trail Guest Ranch. It is located about 2 hours from Truth or Consequences in the Gila National Forest and well off the grid. We felt like we were staying with family. Meris, Emma, Terry, Seth, Diana, and Harry made us feel very welcome and comfortable and... More

I was at Geronimo for the same week in early November as the reviewer, Slorben. It was my third guest ranch vacation in three years. When people ask what I like about guest ranch vacations, I answer that I ride for the scenery and the sense of being way out in the great, peaceful outdoors; getting to places you can't... More

I stayed one week in early November 2011 on the Ranch and I enjoyed it a lot! The ranch, surrounded by pure nature is truely a heavenly place on earth. And the Esterly family and their staff are like angels making sure that you are spending an enjoyable time. Thank you Harry, Diana, Meris, Seth, Britany and Tishena! Check my... More
