I have been coming to the Savuti Campsite for years. I was dismayed when I found that SKL camps are now running a generator almost all the time to service the new lodges. Trucks which service the lodges drive around until late at night and again early in the morning. The campsite now has the feeling of a busy ,... More

This was our second stop on a 4 stop safari March 21, 2013. It was superb. Our "tent" was luxurious with full bathroom inside, sitting area and King bed under mosquito netting." The food, staff, and guides were all top notch. We met delightful people at cocktail and tea time. This would be a place we would revisit.

The Savuti Camp has definitely been the highlight of our holiday in November 2012. The Camp itself is wonderful, extremely exclusive in its small size and yet not too pricy in comparison with other Botswana remote lodges. The tents have every comfort one can demand to a remote camping experience: a huge comfortable bed, ensuite wooden bathroom, fresh and soft... More

After reading some of the other reviews it seems theres some confusion around Camp Savuti and Savuti Camp! For clarity. this review covers the public campsite... The first thing to mention is the state of the roads in chobe in the late dry season. They are largely very deep fine sand. Very difficult driving and high clearance 4x4 is vital... More

We absolutely loved everything about this Wilderness lodge. To start: You needn't worry about the food, bathroom set up or the comfort of the rooms. You will be well looked after at this property without being smothered with luxuries that are silly for a safari experience really. There is nothing that isn't top notch. The "Balance" refers to combining wildly... More

Savuti is just a magical place. The tents are beautiful and very large. The only negative was an ant problem that was really bad. They were in the pipes and so they were crawling all over the faucets and shower, but the can of Doom provided took care of it. Otherwise the tent was amazing! Beautiful wood floors, ceiling fan... This is a luxurious , well appointed (all needs are catered for), beautifully decorated camp. All ‘tents’ face the Savuti river and it is wonderful lying in bed or sitting on your terrace watching the birds and elephants coming down to the water. From the first choir-led greeting by the staff, everything is geared to making the guests happy and... More

Nice camp, helpful staff, good facilities, very nice campsite. Keep in mind that animals roam this place at night, so you cant visit the bathroom at nights. Very nicely located in the middle of Chobe. You cant compare the area around Savuti with the Chobe Riverfront. its much nicer around Savuti. We saw so many elephants and so closeby, that... More

We loved savuti.
