I booked Eagle Island Camp as part of our amazing honeymoon and it was the only incredibly disappointing lodge on our stay. We came from some of the andBeyond properties as well as some locally run luxury lodges and our experience was in stark contrast to our other magnificent stays. At Eagle Island, the service was poor, the rooms, whilst... More

The Eagle Island Camp is one of the luxurious safari camps owned by Orient-Express. Since the camp is set on an island in the middle of the Okavango Delta, all the safaris were by boat which you can get up close and personal with the hippos and elephants. They were literally touching distance from us! Absolutely amazing! The sunset bar... More

We ended our safari at Eagle Camp which was the way to do it, for it's a very relaxed atmosphere. I found the tents at Savute slightly better (Eagle camp misses the outdoor showers for one), yet the setting of Eagle Island Camp, right on the water is stunning and very peaceful. And the cuisine here is much better than... More

The staff is amazing. Customer service outstanding. Our guide was knowledgeble, friendly and attentive. Constant flow of food and drinks. Helicopter ride was excellent. Water safaris were incredible. The tents were clean and spacious. I do not have one complaint or concern. There were no small children - which is what we wanted. I HIGHLY recommend this to anyone. More

Eagle Island Camp is the most unique of the Orient Express camps. All of the safaris were by boat which meant you could get very close to the water animals. We were literally right next to elephants as they marched through the stream. We also took a helicopter safari (which was amazing!) and a walking safari (also amazing!). One thing... More

What a beautiful spot to end a three week tour of Africa. It was so lovely to be at the waters edge as we had been where the temperatures reached 104 degrees. We saw amazing birds, went in a mokoro for an almost silent tour of the Delta. The food was marvelous and the staff are so attentive and helpful.... More

Everything this camps offers is impeccable. Food, service and guides are fantastic and the location can't be questioned. Being a lone traveller the only negative i could mention is that this camp seems to cater for couples and groups that tend to keep to themselves, though that might just have been the crowd that was there when I was there. A very different lodge and location from the other two safari camps run by the Orient /Express, but nonetheless wonderful in terms of the comfort and service provided. It is only accessible by light aircraft which makes the venue feel excitingly remote. The view from the lounge/restaurant area is of water and reeds with the occasional hippo rising up for... More

My husband and I just wrapped up a month long visit from our family and the Delta was a must see for them; so we spent 3 nights at Eagle Island, smack dab in the Delta. What an amazing stay we had!!! I can't say enough about the staff; they were all SO friendly, helpful and accommodating. We had such... More

Our very close friends who come from Africa were showing us their country and our first safari was at Eagle Island Camp. This is total luxury in the middle of the Okavanga Delta. We only had 24 hrs at this camp but it was very exciting and we really got a feel for the delta and one day was enough... More
