We stayed in the Pine Room which is at the far end of the house on the main level. The room opens up onto a porch shared by one other room and has a great view of the lake. The lodge is beautifully decorated in an upscale adirondack lodge motif. The room is large and has a very nice gas... More

I am sorry my girlfriend and I are unable to recommend this place. We were disappointed almost from the moment we got there. Upon arriving, we were taken to our room - but soon found the fireplace did not work. Despite several requests, it was never fixed. While we are not big television watchers, we were amazed at the tiny... More

We are so sorry to hear of your impression of The Fern Lodge, it certainly is not the norm in the 7 years we have been here- as witnessed in the other reviews here. We live on premise and strive to exceed every guests' expectation; we wish you had made your unhappiness known to us- any of the situations could... More

My family just returned from ski trip at Gore and we were fortunate to stay at the Fern Lodge. Though it's about a twenty minute trip to the mountain, the beauty of the lodge and the wonderful gracious hosts Sharon and Greg made it worth the drive. Ideally this is a place for a romantic getaway and their Alpine Lodge... More

Loved the hot tub, movie theater room with popcorn... great environment and great amenities... however, you certainly pay for them. The cost for the rooms is overpriced... I have stayed in nicer rooms for less. Personally, the cost to stay here was not worth a reoccurring visit. The rooms were nice, but nothing to write home about. The service and... More

Just came back from a 3 night stay at Fern Lodge which was absolutely wonderful. We stayed in 'Birch' which was an amazing room, from it's massive bed to it's double sided fire place - the jacuzzi bath in front of one side was very nice. From the moment we arrived Sharon and Greg made us feel unbelievably welcome and... More

My husband and I had the joy of staying at Fern Lodge for a long weekend. If you are looking for a just-secluded-enough getaway that will leave you truly refreshed, look no further. First, the property itself is simply stunning...the lodge can best be described as rustic sophistication. It's got that lodge feel without being cheesy or overdone, the decor... More

My fiance and I stayed her for a weekend getaway. The property is gorgeous and something you may see highlighted on the Travel Channel. The rooms were amazing with vaulted ceilings, exposed beams, floor to ceiling stone fireplaces, large comfy beds, multi-person steam shower and jacuzzi tubs. It was a very relaxing fall weekend. The hosts are welcoming and breakfast... More

What a great place! We only managed to get one night there but managed to get in a lovely afternoon walk a wonderful sunset cruise with wine and snacks. Plenty of dinner choices locally and plenty of space to relax on the property. Great breakfast in the morning that fueled us for the glass like lake kayaking we did courtesy... More

Luxuriously comfortable, warm hosts, clean, ever tying you could need or want. Breakfast was delicious, afternoon wine was lovely. View from our room was beautiful and Shadow was a delight. Perfect way to end our honeymoon! Wouldn't hesitate to go again, but this time for longer. More

My fiance and I took a weekend getway to the Fern Lodge. Owners Greg and Sharon Taylor provided world-class hospitality in this luxurious and rustic setting. The drive up from Rochester NY was beautiful. The home's location on the lake is perfect and secluded which adds a wonderful touch to this hidden gem. Rustic in decor, the home boasts beautiful...
