In the late winter, early spring of 2008, my wife and I came across the 1805 Phinney House in 2008 when we were planning to visit the Baseball Hall of Fame and go to the Glimmerglass Opera. As it turned out, we were very fortunate to have selected the Phinney House amongst several B& B's in the area. We were greeted...

Jim and Charlene Vroonman offer a warm and delightful Bed & Breakfast just a very short walk to Hall Of Fame's front door. Free parking, no smoking rooms and a gourmet caliber breakfast are just a few of the high points of our stay. In addition, Jim and Charlene go above and beyond to create a truly memorable Cooperstown experience....

Our love for the Phinney house grew even more after staying at another B&B in Cooperstown that wasn't quite up to the standard set by Phinney House. Jim is a gracious host, who is a bit on the talkative side, but his love and knowledge of Cooperstown couldn't be more apparent. Plus he is quite helpful! We were the only...

The accommodations were excellent. The breakfasts exceeded our expectations. The hospitality was outstanding. We've stayed in a number of B & B's in Cooperstown and the Phinney House was by far the best.

First time at a B&B and we were delighted. Jim was a very accommodating host and the breakfasts were wonderful. They upgraded our room upon arrival as we were the only guests the first evening of our two night stay. The location is great as it is just minutes from the Hall of Fame and Main street. We never had...

The food was excellent with a different full breakfast by Charlene every morning. Jim was good about recommending places to eat and shop in town. He steered us to good places and helped us avoid the ones that weren't. He seemed very knowledgeable of the community. The location couldn't have been better; we were a few minutes' walk from the...

The best thing about staying here was the location. We could walk to everything in town, which was great because parking gets limited during the day. There were also a couple local bars about a couple blocks away which was nice, so we didn't have to drive.
However be warned, the service wasn't so good. Everytime I called the B&B...
