Kristen and Jim are great hosts. They have a beautiful B&B. Exactly what you want on a cool New England night. The decor is warm and inviting and the breakfast is simply the best. I will recommend this B&B to friends and family. Perfect place to stay after a hike in the Adirondacks.

My husband and I stayed at the Woodrfuff House while in town for our Son's wedding in Lake Placid. Due to the Ironman Triathalon in lake Placid we were not able to get accomodations there. Well, so glad we didn't! We had a wonderful stay and Jim and Kristen made us feel like we were right at home with wonderful... More

We recently stayed two nights at the Woodruff House in Elizabethtown N. Y. The house is tastefully decorated with lots of antiques. Our room was very nice and had a private bath. The breakfasts were great, with freshly baked goods, melon with prosciutto, eggs Benedict, muffins, omelets, etc. Not your usual B & B fare. Delicious! All that plus a couple of... More

My family and I stayed at the inn as a base for skiing and winter hiking in the Adirondacks in February. Don't give a second thought to the effects of hurricane Irene on the region, or the fact that Elizabethtown is a few minutes further afield than Keene or Lake Placid for some: this is a great inn and well... We had a wonderful weekend stay at The Woodruff House. Our hosts were wonderful. Even though we arrived very late at night, Jim greeted us at the door. We felt very comfortable and thoroughly enjoyed the fabulous breakfast. Our only suggestion is that locks be installed in every bedroom.

This was our 7 or 9th stay at the Woodruff House - we use it as a home base when dropping our son off/picking him up at nearby Camp Dudley. Woodruff House is adorable, with every room a bit different than the other. Kristin keeps the house immaculate and her breakfasts are wonderful!! One of these days we'll plan better,... More

The Woodruff House is a very pleasant place to stay! Each detail has been thought out and incorporated into the B&B theme perfectly. The cleanliness deserves the highest rating available! Although we stayed only one evening, this is a place to come and relax for several! A good book, while relaxing on the porch, is all it would take! Kristien... More

A stunning building, large rooms, wonderful interiour decoration, a huge breakfast. We planned to be there for two days and stayed for a week. A cristal-clear river borders the property. Large DVD collection for rainy days. Kristen and Jim are wonderful hosts, not only for giving us some good hints on where to go. We will certainly return.

We spent five days with Kristen and Jim and enjoyed every moment. Her attention to details was right on without being overwhelming. Her breakfasts are delicious and she was crowned the breakfast queen by our 2 teenage boys. We enjoyed the character of this beautiful house, but we also enjoyed relaxing in the cozy living room area, with the cats... More

Kris and Jim made us right at home. We've been back now several times and each time there's been something lovely and memorable -- a fire by the firepit, a quiet afternoon sitting in the sunny garden, a relaxing evening on the porch. The rooms are lovely and very comfortable and the breakfast is simply amazing. The innkeepers are ready... More
