Friendly.... Accommodating and overall perfect... Forget about the big chains my family and I are all about the "mom & pop" places... Will stay here for romantic night out soon... Thank you guys for the hospitality...

We stayed over on a friday night in early October. The views and ambiance are beautiful. Plenty of places to sit and relax - gazebos, the outdoor patio, the dock. We just went to dinner last Sunday and the food was good. The service was great and the view was wonderful. The downside was that my husband went to the men's room and when we left the hotel, we said it was terrible. Pipes and sink were rusted, no ventilation and it smelled terrible. We didn't stay in the hotel, just went there for dinner. Interesting is that it is owned by the same family since 1928!!! Food was good, portions are somewhat small for the $$. Outside patio is lovely and there are private dining gazebos. Inside dining decor could use some work....more plants would help, it looked kind of like a hotel... More

terrible hotel. holes in floor in the bathroom. small room. terrible beds, made my back hurt. uncomfortable sheets from 1900's. Bad smell. Room is depressing. the only good thing iss that you are right on top of lake, but spend a little more money and get a better place.

The Continental is a family run historic hotel currently undergoing renovations to restore its past charm. The room was cozy and clean. Our host, Diane, was personable and pleasant to deal with. The view of Greenwood Lake from the dining room is amazing.If you are looking for a hotel with a more home like feel, check out the New Continental.

We were pleasantly surprised to find this place last minute. The price was reasonable and the owners/staff were pleasant and gracious.
