I stayed here for four nights as part of a wedding party. Although individual staff were friendly, the management was appalling and I was aware of a number of unforgivable problems where they took their eye off the ball - the evening reception was almost derailed either through inefficiency or an attempt to make extra money. I tried to checkout... More

I recently went on a business trip but my wife accompanied me since it was also our wedding anniversary. It was not my first visit to Nkopola Lodge. I have been there many times before over the last number of years. The wonderful experience for me was to see that there has been no deterioration over the years which is... More

You could spend all day simply paddling in the lake and looking at the view. Kids liked the pool. So quiet. Thatched Chalets were fine, nets provide for all beds. Easily slept two adults and two children. Shower was a bit ropey. Quality of fruit and juice at breakfast was disappointing so had to settle for bacon and eggs. Evening... More

Everytime we come to Malawi... we stay here. The staff are the absolute best. The rooms are beautiful, some have been re-modeled and some are in the process. The ambiance is so relaxing... the food is delicious. It is done in a way to please all. Our tour guide Francis Chulinga was right on in taking us here. This time... More

It all started badly as we were going to stay in the rooms on the hill. Not only did this mean negotiating a steep and uneven stairway up the cliff, but building works were going on as new bathrooms were being fitted. The hotel upgraded us to the lakeside cabins which I would definitely recommend. Small but nice rooms (why... More

Excellent property on the beach of Lake Malawi, little away from Mangochi. I got to stay in a room that was directly above the sea. One of the most phenomenal hotel locations I have ever been to. Food was reasonable, but ambience was fantastic. It is a great honeymoon destination. More
