This was the highlight of our recent trip to Namibia. Extraordinary setting amongst huge red granite boulders. The contrast between the harsh beauty of Damaraland and the cool elegance of the lodge was wonderful. Don't miss the opportunity to enjoy a "Sundowner" at the lookout point over the valley towards the distant mountains. Staff were friendly, efficient and helpful, as... More

Having just returned from a 3 week drive around Namibia, this camp was definately my favourite! The location & views just blew me away. The tents are 'lodged' between huge boulders and are supurbly & tastefully furnished. Not all tents have views though, so its worth paying a bit extra to secure one overlooking the plain below - l imagine... More

Mowani represents a unique form of accommodation in terms of both its style and setting. The camp consists of a series of domed luxury accommodation "tents", interconnected to the central restaurant - pool - bar area via a web of walkways interspersed between the granite outcrops. The outlooks are increadible with vistas and lookoutpoints in all directions, however the entire... More

Mowani mountain camp is the ideal place to stay for 2 nights on the road between swakopmund and etosha. it truly seems like an oasis amongst the enormous boulders in a remote part of Namibia. we stayed with 2 young boys (aged 6 and 8) and they loved exploring the surrounds and the pool area. Having said this it ideally... More

We stayed 2 nights at Mowani, which seems to recenty have been renovated (actually, there was still some work being carried out at one of the tents). The tents themselves are very remote and almost without a line of sight to other tents or the main building. Interior and view are very nice, the main buidlings including the dinner area... More

Stayed as a family of three in April. The location and lodges are stunning. Sunset is magnificent with a sundowners G&T in hand. Service is first class. Definitely impossible to capture just how breath taking this place is in words. One complaint only, the "tents" are incredibly hot at night . There is no air con and the electric freestanding... We area family of 4 traveling for vacation in March 2012. We stayed at Mowani Mountain camp for 2 nights and loved it. Mowani is a luxury tented camp uniquely situated in the mountains. Very secluded and amazing views. It is worth it just for the sunset view if nothing else. Cocktails, appetizers, chairs and bean bags on an overlook... More

We stayed here as part of our trip to Namibia in September 2011 and loved Mowani - in fact we re-named it MoWOWi, as it was so fab! The setting in amongst the boulders and the magnificent views from our 'tent' was very special and will live in our memory for a very long time. The 'tent' was super, with... More

We spent one night in the Mowani Mountain Camp during our honeymoon. We had a tent where we could enjoy a sundowner. Fantastic with the scenery behind. Tents are very nice, staff is fantastic - they did everything for us, excellent dinner with some singing by the locals - it was simply a superb stay. We still remember the tasty... More
